I think it won't fit with the 3076R. Might be a bit busy too

My reservations would be that it wouldn't add any benefit, would impede air flow through the lid fans and would absorb and retain heat, adding to engine temps. Plus it would be even more of a PITA to do anything in there

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Well, what a beautiful day for the Rising Sun Show
Some stunning machinery there. Not a huge MR2 turnout but the ones which were looked fantastic!
In his bed, with his 2 wheeled friends, ready for a day out.
Wasn't planning on showing, however after rolling up and seeing all the highly polished machines, I felt I a good idea to at least get the bugs off the front end
In the arena next to andya24's stunning TRD tubby
(Left to right) Mule, Andy's (another one) Evo with a awesome paint job, andya24
All in all it was a great day out. The car is far from ready to show properly, however I'm aiming for it to be ready for Japshow or JAE. In the next 3 hours I should have the bits I need to take me a big step closer...

Your parts list for things ready to be fitted is like mine! Lol. We are almost as bad as each other I think, lol.
You going to replace your brake lines? The braking system is only as good as its weakest point, which will be your lines after you've put all that stuff on there ... Having just done this myself it's actually pretty straightforward, if a bit time consuming. More than happy to lend a hand

Haha, I think you're right. Once there's the vision of the finished article, time and cost become irrelevant
I've just read your write-up of the brake mods, very nice work I was planning on refurbing the calipers and painting them blue or black..or silver.. Replacing the brakes hoses and then adding the awesome Carbotech pads. I'll check over the existing lines and see what they're like. Thanks for the offer, it's much appreciated
Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Just a word of warning- with Carbotechs you will need to clean & wax your rims a LOT to avoid ruining your Te37's...amazing brake pads, but dusty as f**k and it eats alloys. That's the only reason I haven't put them on my turbo- couldn't face any damage to my Te37's
Impressive kit list you got there...looking forwards to seeing how you get on

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
I did read a thread on them making a sticky type dust. Although I wasn't sure if it was all of them or just one version. Bit worrying as I've only just got the wheels looking half decent
Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Rimwax is your friend....it will keep the dust from eating into your alloys straight away, but even then you'll need to clean and rewax often I reckon to protect your wheels.
I may just be scare mongering, but I've seen how badly trashed my rev5 wheels are on my track car after running Carbotechs...but then again I never waxed them, or cleaned them regularly- I accepted they were trashed and lived with it!
There is a reason why most of the racing guys go for black wheels- you can't see the dust that has eaten into them

That's what I've been using, with ever improving results.
I'll hold off on the pads for now, pending a bit more research. They were going in as a part of a full brake overhaul (lines, caliper re-spray etc) anyway, so won't be happening for a few weeks.

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
And so the journey begins. First on my "To do" list is to get the lid fans cleaned up and installed.
They weren't in bad condition at all when I got them. Just a few stickers etc to remove and a bit of paint work to sort.
Washed. Next to one of my earlier creations
Dry, it was time to break out the T Cut and polish
Came out pretty well
Import rain cover. Not sure if it's worth anything?
I love that these imports are covered in Japanese ramblings
In, polished, just needs wiring in
Now starts the epic polishing mission. Autosol bought today, with a polishing kit coming tomorrow. I sense I'll have hands like ET by the time this is all done
