The fine detail is with the mouse!!

You actually look with the mouse, which is key to understanding how elegant the system is

I recommend checking it out to really understand it tho!

aiming with the mouse is far more accurate then a controller. BUT you can use a mouse and key board with the ps3 and 360 to play fps game anyway so its all good

What games on the PS3 can you use a mouse and keyboard for? I only ask because Mark's main gripe with the PS3 is that he likes to use a mouse and keyboard.

A mouse and keyboard is for playing Frogger. This is the 21st century ;)

For mouse and keyboard fans here is the solution for the PS3:

Have just MSN'd it to Mark, he is pretty interested as he says having to deal with the innacuracy of a console pad is whats stopping him playing.

do you hold it all up with your left hand and then use the mouse with your right?

cos your left arm is gonna kill after a while! lol

and i can see the appeal of a keyboard and mouse but then i much prefer sitting/laying on my bed infront of my big HDTV. loads more comfortable.

plus the speed and accuracy points dont really stand up in my book because everyone is using the same thing so it doesnt matter.

I think it'll be comfortable enough. Not after it for the accuracy points. Just for more accuracy full stop. Better contol when playing fps. In my opinion

If this was the Xbox you'd love it.

Couple of things I can see that aren't quite "right"

The mouse wire. It'll either drag on the top edge of the pad or simply be in the way if it's to the left of the pad. Also the pad doesn't look all that big...

The buttons on the side of the mouse? What in the name of all that is holy are they all about? 4 mouse buttons, on the side, to be actuated by your thumb??!! Looking at it, you'd also have to have your hand quite far down the mouse to actually hit those buttons with your thumb :?

Would have thought Sony would make a slightly better effort than that.

No, I know. I clicked the link after I posted #-o

I guess for £40 it's not toooooooo bad, but it's far from perfect.

The reviews look pretty good tbh. Its not for me, am more thinking of Mark who dislikes using PS controllers for fighting games as he's well used to the keyboard/mouse setup that he's used in the past for PC games.

I don't think you can just use a standard mouse and keyboard in games IYSWIM?
