In the midst of a major high speed tank slapping moment at Spa I deployed the 'let go' technique & it worked a treat - brought the car straight back to straight ahead ( it wasn't the 1st time I'd done it tho).
I'd say it works a treat in an emergency situation but it's not the best to put yourself in that situ very often lol. seems to happen to me a lot lol as I love going sideways (why else would anyone buy an MR2 ?).
The MR2 is very controllable up to a point (approaching 45 degrees) after which it's hard to get it back as the rear weight then wants to go backwards (/forwards iyswim).
