It does, but there nowhere near as strong as the one from the ST185CS and considering the Spud is pushing over 600FWHP, i'd assume he'd accept nothing less.

You can also try and nab one from a late Solara in the US. Or better still just get a sequential dogbox built with your own gear ratios

Why would they not be as strong? Surely they'd be the same part if they are the same part. if you know what I mean.

The part numbers are different, the ratio of the final drive is the same. The CS version is made of a stronger material. All the big power 3SGTE runners in the UK are using this final drive ... Ian, Adrian (was) , Tony, etc.

Were they using the CS or the 165 ones?

Just wondering what I've put in my box. I used the part numbers Mark Edwards posted up ages ago.

Oil pump gear - 33407-12011
Ring gear - 41221-12240
Output shaft - 33321-20120

They were all using the ST185CS .. but i believe most have them have moved over the the Fensport dogbox with custom gear ratios.

Mind you Dino uses the ST165 final drive as do a fair few across the pond.

Not sure on part numbers, but i do remember checking them about a year ago and they were definately different.

Yeah it is. But to be honest I doubt you'd get any sense of speed from watching a car pass at that distance. Even Thrust SSC doesn't look that fast out there
