Looks great fella. I saw it and you at Lukes a while back when just out of the shop, I don't think you had the rear grill or the steering wheel fitted at the time. The Sable colour really suits (that's what it's called on the g/fs mk3 'Red' roadster).

Thanks again for all the comments. Highway star, your right the grill wasnt on there but the steering wheel was. I wouldnt even call it grey in some lights, its a strange one that! Jim yes mate I remember a few years back you sent me a link to this car that was on a thread when you all went to a rolling road meet. The only thing that was kept was the front bumper when it was transformed. Thats at home but I bought another toms bumper that is genuine and had it repaired. Its weird, the guy I got it off in named David, cant remember the surname. But I drove to his house where I bought it from 4 years ago. Was gonna knock but unsure if hes moved house. If anyone has any ideas then please shout him this link! Im sure he would be very proud! I cant let go of this car, its been a big part of my life the last 4 years and has caused me nothing but debts and tears... But I still come back for more. It still isnt perfect but it will be... Anyway how did you recognise it Jim? Im guessing by username memory and profile pic? Cheers

That's right the wheel was on..... you told me how much it cost!
Top effort mate, it's really come together well, the rear grill works with everything else. If it were me and I wasn't now broke I'd cap it with Rogue lights and maybe a small spacer on the rears... 5-10mm? But that's just what my look would be.

Hi Jamie

Your car is turly stunning its a credit to the amount of work that you have put into not only tracking images of the T020 car but the parts, the time, the effort and resouces gone into making her so. I have been lucky enough not only to meet you a number of times now but too also of seen this car too, I would recommend anyone who want to see one of the finest mr2s around and also for those who want to find out what a ture enuthanuist is like and will go through to get a car the way they want it..... just dont touch lol

I hope to see you again soon and keep her looking good

Actually think im gonna cry... Dave that was such a heart warming speech, it just makes the whole build worth while. Im looking at it sometimes and I hate it cos theres not much more I can do to it lol. But I think past it and realise that I own the only full T020 around (unless you search the earth). I really appreciate all the kind comments. Theres more to do on the car in terms of all the suspension etc, be rude to stop now! I need funds to replace tired parts... If I sell enough sleepy eye kits it can be done... Hint hint lol :). I hope to bring it to more shows. Just really gotta sort the debt this car has landed me with first, its phenominal. My bank loves me :)

This is hands down, the nicest looking MR2 I have ever seen!
I can only imagine the financial strain it must have put you under, but it is worth it.
And at the end of the day...you can always pay it back.

I just can't imagine even sourcing half of that stuff! Never mind having the money to pay for it.
I really hope I can make it to a show and see it in the flesh.

What was the background of the T020?
Was it a Tom's car for racing only?
Did they ever sell them fully loaded, or was it only parts you could buy?
What was the sort of spec of the engine etc?

Many thanks on your input its much appreciated mate. Yeah sourcing all the stuff was just a big waiting game, just keeping my eyes peeled ALL THE TIME! Ive been told by one member 'MR2 Wouter' that he has seen and driven a few of these cars that were basicly bought and then had the kit fitted. They really only demo'd these in N/A form and they never raced them as far as I could find out, they were literally just normal street visual and performance bits that the public could buy. In terms of selling them in complete form I have no idea. The upgrades they made for the engines were N/A focused such as cams, crank, pistons, intake and exhaust. I've just been extremely lucky to come across my TOM'S BARREL 3 piece exhaust system specifically designed for the Turbo applications, 3 inch all the way through from the downpipe. I found it on ebay early this year and the seller just titled it 'MR2 exhaust'... Which was silly for him yet lucky for me!

Next time I go to show this car will be next year, ive recently gone back to putting the standard seats in it as I thought id keep the interior more subtle. So theyre up for sale now :thumleft: Ill post an advert soon.
