Morning all.

Im giving the car a final prep and a good wash this morning then heading up there.

Really looking forward to the event - although i hope the weather forecasters have got it wrong otherwise we could be in for a wash out :pale:

See you all later!

I think with the good high temps, even if we get a few showers, it'll dry up fast.
Leaving in about 2 hours to meet up with Larry, then head down. Looking forward to it guys.
See you all there. :thumleft:

9am if you don't want to queue for ages, it kicks off at 10:30 but you can wander around as soon as you get in.

Just back from Elvington, Nathan and Roy are all setup and ready to go, no sign of anyone else when I got kicked off site at 6:30pm though so I hope you made it in time to get in and camp if you were aiming to do so.

Really warm up there today, I'm feeling a bit pink already and was only around for a few hours - <mum mode>don't forget plenty of water and sun cream</mum mode>

It promises to be a good one, look out for the big white Century Motorsport tent in the pit area and pop over and say hello.

Are they really the times? What happened - torrential rain and an ice storm?
The question is though, did everyone finish intact?

Under the circimstances Andy, they're some respectable times. Heat like this is never conducive to low times on the strip.

Last year was pretty much the same. I'm sure with the right weather and levels of grip, one of the team will get a 9 some time this year mate. :thumleft:

Well done guys!!!

It was a good day. Far, Far to hot. Just got home and left at 3!

Will have a good look at my car tomorrw. But my main prob was missfire on all 3 runs! Damm.

Nath was havin a few clutch probs when I left hope he sorted them and would have loved to have stayed and helped a bit more but with a long drive I knew I needed to go.

That Mich for all the help and surport again. Great job.

Sorry chaps, no official times to post up as yet due to the screens being broken / only displaying the overall top 20 and being unable to grab all the timing slips - if you could post up your own times for now that would be good.

I'll post up the moment I get some official times through.

What I do know is that Nathan went on to win the RWD category and beat the monster Granada in the final, what's just as impressive though is that out of all the RWD cars running 3 of the 4 cars in the 1/4 finals were MR2s, you should all be very proud, despite some awful weather for drag racing and more than our share of issues the MR2 was on put well and truly on the map again.

I hope everyone enjoyed the day, it was too warm for me but I was proud to be associated with such a great bunch of people, both team and the support that came along, thanks again folks.

Yep good day folks.

Team spirit this year was great (again) nice to meet more people through the day... was very hectic and the heat was a major issue - everyone was down on last year - apart from Olly Clarke in that bleamin' scooby

My quickest was 10.8.... traction was pretty crap and me seeming to make some kind of mistake in pretty much every run didnt help, still it was quick enough to win the RWD catergory so cant complain.

I think overall i was 12 in 1/4 mile standings and 7th overall in top speed (169.9MPH)

Really enjoyed it. Thanks to michael for doing the organising. Thanks to all the other team members for the valiant efforts, and thanks to Xxxx for lending me the dissy assembly!!
