Right enough! I saw the first one and just thought   no way.

Amazing that it fitted then, the new fitment looks way better IMO.

I fancy a set of Corbeau seats in the Vette tbh... Not Revenge really so much, but maybe A4 or Evolution X. Where did you get yours??

+well been busy doing all the little bits here and there... finishing touches and all that..

Fitted a new stereo in the truck.. OMG!!! the wiring   so sorted that out ... it now turns on and off with the ignition \:D/ \:D/ not more forgetting to turn it off
and i have re fitted all the dash properly so no longer rattles. Also took the clocks out and ordered some new LED backlights, as none of the Lamps worked in the dark pic when i get that sorted..

The car.. re fitted undertrays, fitted the coolant pressure cap to new locations (cross brace in way of standard location)
Fitted new brakes all round (awaiting new discs as ones that came were rev1s ](*,) ](*,) )
fitted Engine lid pin
re fitted battery clamp
fitted 5 point harness... very snug. i don't move anywhere when in the car
cleaned inside the car
Wheels lacquered, the rim had extra coat of red first to give it more of the burnt orange look
Fire extinguisher fitted

Tyres arrive tomorrow, as should the fronts discs, then its fit them and clutch and brake bleed then alignment

ohh soo close now..

Such a weapon! Are you going to remove any more of the leathery plasticy dash bits?

When cage goes in the windows will be polycarb, and everything in the doors out and no door cards as will have door bars and the rest of plastic
Just dash has to stay in place.. Regs etc..

little update..

Car was fully aligned yesterday so now everything pointing the right way, and camber bolts set

managed to have alittle drive around while there and seat was sat too far back.. so have now moved that, and where i could move it forward i could also lower it too.
Image

tyres also arrived today ready for fitting to the advans
Image
but i wont run them on fridays track day as do not want to ruin them.. so will be running some r888s before dumping the wheels and tyres
Image

also untill the cage goes in there isn't really anywhere to fit the go-pro.. and i wanted to try a different angle so for now how about this :)
Image
Image

on a side note.. Oppsoite my mate who does the motorsport wiring is a guy who has been racing many many years much endurance racing etc..
was chatting to him and he pulled out a set of 16's track tyres he no longer wanted, that i could use to ruin on a track day, so for track days will be using the momo arrows with used track tyres to ruin. then leave good wheels and tyres for sprints :thumleft: :thumleft:

i then got a call, since chatting and having a look at the car he has been digging around in his hoard of stuff and found a 20litre fuel cell which will fit under the bonnet, along with most hoses i will need for it... so could be losing a lot more weight yet :thumleft:

lets see what else he can dig out

really looking forward to friday now..

Just picked up a 20litre ally race fuel tank...
So get rest of bits.. Then that'll be lots of weight saved...

Nice...will be curious to see how much weight that saves you. Is it a custom MR2 frunk shaped one? You going to keep the stock fuel pump?

Looking forwards to hearing how the track day testing goes...do you run on super unleaded?

Yeah always super.. Nope its a rectangle one.. See face book page.. From a
midget.. But firs lovely under front.. I'll get aftermarket pump and swirl pot

Also its not just weight saving but carrying less fuel and less sloshing around as the tank is so much smaller

Yeah- sounds sensible- looking forwards to seeing fuel cell pic's, it's an idea I was toying with as well...not so sensible for a road going turbo'd car though :eye:
