No deposit required now . Just add your name and I'll contact you when you come to the top of the list and you can make payment then, or you can pull out and pass on to next on the list :D

Heads up to everyone thinking of this group buy, which is in the wrong section.

As the comments above can only lead to continued and constant emails from customers chasing parts and deadlines, and a feeling of nervousness etc. I am considering a new course of action .
I will discuss this with Dave tomorrow, but I'm proposing that all customer's be refunded their deposits and the original aeroware items we have ordered can be sold on as one off's to recover the costs . This will remove the possibility of customer delays etc.
If I go ahead with this action then I will no longer represent Neos Design on this forum . I will operate only on mr2oc.co.uk and only handle orders for parts ready to go . This should ensure we do not have a repeat of the issues already found in the linked thread .

I agree the company has bad press at the moment, but as far as i understand it... everyone put in in this order KNOWING that these parts are going to be copied and the flaws taken out of them. This was never going to be a fast job at all (and all of you who thought they would be made in say 2 months shouldn't be in this pre production buy!!), so I for one knew the deposit i gave was an investment to get these parts rolling and as our thank you we get them cheaper.

If no one has any objections and would actually like one of these items eventually... I think that there should be list of people who do actually want one and dont really care about the time scale (so much). Rather than selling off the originals, there must be people who want these 2 items still!!??

I am fine about holding on, I don't require my deposit back (I actually paid full price so I don't have to think about it again). This is because I trust Dave having dealt with him twice before.

At the same time, if the decision is to jump ship on these then I'd like to think I'd get first refusal on the lip seeing as I part-sourced these parts originally. However, I think it would be a great shame to cancel this project.

I'll hold off on that decision pending customer feedback . If people agree that they are willing to wait then I'll maintain this group buy . If anyone feels that they can't wait then please let me know asap and I'll arrange a refund and re-assess the group buy .

Just for those concerned - here's an example of our normal day to day business >> http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=68888

Darryn, on this forum, you are inextricably linked to the headcover.
Headcover seems to have problems fulfilling a number of our members orders. As such we are suspending any trade through headcover until those issues are sorted out.
As you have been representing headcover, and you are not an affiliate on your own, this means that you should cease trading through the site.
If you want to set up as your own entity, then please contact Pete.

As it stands, we do not want any members to place orders to headcover until the outstanding orders are sorted. Whether headcover = darryn is irrelevant here as you are not an affiliate in your own right darryn.
Darryn - advertising your business through the OC is not acceptable, and your posts stating such will be removed if you do not become affiliated as you will be advertising through the site without the appropriate membership.

im with leeroy here... i know the orderbooks at neos are full beyond the gunnels, but i still signed up for the group buy. guiness have it summed up, good things come to those who wait, so wait i shall :-)

as for those muoppets who are saying about oh its taking too wait to get these bits, a on the aeroware and b on the wings on the thread linked to earlier....

these are custom made parts made to order to a great level of workmanship by a small outfit. also most parts are projects, bolt on goodies, these arent the sort of prats cars sit wiating for in the same way as brake calipers or or starter motors etc...

anyone planning these projects ought to be ordering their parts in advance so they are there when the project is ready for them. you dont jsut turn up at quick fit an say a set of 235/45/17 yokohama davan neovas please. the guy will say its two weeks wait on those tires. hell even mr t needs a few days for simple bits, longer for more obscure parts.

so to the impatient critics - grow up, plan ahead and stop blaming others for the negative effect on the progress of your projects your incompetent approach to project management has caused.

I am happy to wait for my spoiler, as long as it takes.

What is the forum coming to?
So many rules and regulations.

Some traders are trying to do their best for the people on here with MR2s but, other users want to cause problems.

It's just because we've had quite a few complaints about people paying for items which they have to wait a long time for, and we would like to see the situation resolved. It's hardly a rules and regulations thing, just letting people know what is going on.

What has Neos customer service and delivery times got to do with IMOC?

Don't want to speak for the committee but he's an affiliate on here so should offer 'reasonable' service(s) and/or product(s).

What are they supposed to do if they receive complaints? Ignore them? Its a club run for the people by the people so I think its right to act when enough people kick up a fuss.

I appreciate the support guys (seriously thanks). No need to direct any malice towards IMOC , they're working to help members . I understand that some of you may fear that this would impact you or your orders, but I've PM'd you all to keep you up to speed . I think with this post this thread should end and as stated Neos Design / Headcover will no longer be able to trade on this site . (I know Headcover could do if he sorts things, but let's just leave this as is until Dave gets around to coming back online please)
Thanks all :thumleft:

but quick fit and mr t would have the parts ready at the times promised!
thats the difference!

the fact remains that people have been waiting for parts for months, after being promised them in a few weeks.

the parts are great quality,no doubt about that, but the time scales are far from acceptable, unless otherwise stated it would take that long.

if people where given realistic delivery times then there wouldnt be any complaints.

Whats the rush?

Quality parts are worth the wait.

Neo is is small outfit, doing the best he can.

No, I am not saying they should ignore them, but what are IMOC trading standards?

Yes, its a club for the people, more people are going to miss out on good parts than the few people that have an issue with a delay.
