I need to seriously think about traction control now.

Lighting the rears all the time, know that feeling .. under 3k that is pretty impressive ... neeed some big wide rears or tc ... did you do a vid of the test dive

Still working on my dash surrounds, also i've redone the exhaust for the third time, ditched the Nurspec and gone Berk instead, much more refined note now, still using the exhaust flap valve upstream.

Where did you get the Berk exhaust from Paul? Ta.

So more dash work, i haven't got anywhere near final finishing, still in the basic construction phase, but it's getting there.

I've added three cheap gauges, oil pressure, water temp and volts, just because i like an actual number as opposed to a needle pointing at an area like the Mr2 and Evora gauges do. I used these gauges because they were a good design match to the Evora cluster, but yeah they were really cheap.

Also got the info, dimmer and sport mode buttons added to the dash along with my homebrew boost/vacuum gauge which is now mounted where the clock used to be. To recap, this is an Auber 1812 unit that i have calibrated to work via an Mr2 turbo Map sensor, this gives me a 0.1 accurate reading. Lots of final filling/sanding/priming and painting left to do.

Quick video....

So far it has recorded up to 5.5psi of boost just revving at a standstill, actual peak boost numbers for the Evora S are sketchy on the internet, so i'll be keen to see what the final number actually is.

Ok this is a nice mod, i took an Audi TT gear surround housing and blended it into a stock Mk2 gaitor surround, a few hours went into this...

Image

This is what it looks like in primer with the Audi TT bezel and gaitor....

Image

And just to drag this thing into the present, an LED illumination ring that sandwiches between the bezel and gaitor, this casts light under and inside the bezel....

Image

Image

Still in the mock up stage of course so not hardwired yet and not painted....

Image

Next up, those heater control LEDs are getting converted to red along with the window switches etc...... it's going to look like Stringfellows bedroom.

I've been checking out these audi/ford rings out on fb as someone on there has been doing it.

Tbh I'm not sure about them. They look OK and modernise the interior a bit but to me it just seems out of place and the alloy look even more out of place. Maybe blackening the alloy bit will gel more with the interior.

Not too sure bout the glow either though I suspect it would look a hell of a lot better when everything matches and is finished.

Sorry....just my opinion....but loving the rest of the car!

I love how a little mod can provoke reaction when the stonking supercharged v6 doesn't bat an eyelid :)

Oh is that what it is :D

I seem to have caused a real fuss over the LED Audi gear ring conversion, it's really split the camp, on FB it's a big hit, on the forums not so much.

The idea has been given to just wire the LED ring up to sport mode, so it only lights up then.

As above, you've done such a lovely job that there is nothing to say but to admire the work you've done.
Love it :)

It looks pretty much like the dominator surround apart from the light ring, I think it'll look good for sport mode and possibily for an alarm warning led if that isn't in the speedo cluster.
