I've been here almost as long as you have matey, I'm not convinced that me making more posts will help me to 'get it' ;)

I don't get the whole Jekyll and Hyde thing: One minute you're in here bragging about doing 145mph and then lying to try and wriggle out of it, yet in the other forum you're asking sensible things like where to get driver tuition on trackdays.

I'm no angel as anyone will tell you but there is a difference between doing what you do on the road and posting up about such illegal activities on a public forum.

It's called rules. HTH.

And Azz, behave!

Well all I can say to this thread is that people should learn the lesson of what happened to a chap on Pistonheads.
He was unfortunate enough to lose control and his car ended up broadside across the carriageway.
A biker then came round the corner and t-boned him. The biker was very seriously injured.

The CPS found his forum posts and used his 'tongue-in-cheek' style against him in court.
The direct result of that was a two year jail sentence.
Be very careful about what you say in public, it could come back and bite you in the a**e.

I could say I did 3000mph on the motorway last night, what charges could anyone ever bring on me for that? None!. they could only use it to make you look like a total schmuck and rubbish your character, but the jail sentence would be based on what he actually did rather than said on a forum.

He could be a compulsive liar and say stuff to get attention so you could never be jailed for anything you said or even given a fine without something on Video, even then they have to prove it was on a road and your 190mph speedo test was not with your car on bricks with you back wheels off the ground.

I'd be weary of that. They know ALL the rules and bend them if they don't like the look of you. They're just human and beneath their sturn character in court, they still judge a lot of attitude.

lol it's called masking words like 'racing' and 'speeding' with more subtle words to get away with it, much like what solicitors do to make things sound less harsh than they really are..... lol

I'm not sure what your point is?

The point is you don't admit to anything like that on a public forum. We all drive on the roads and for me to say I have never driven over the speed limit would be just utterly ridiculous. I've had 25 points for speeding in my time. None since 2005 though.

We cannot condone illegal activities on the forum. It's as simple as that.

You have to use a bit of common sense really and that's about it. Some people seem to struggle with that.

I've raced properly (ie on a circuit) and let me tell you if you think you have actually 'raced' on the public road, you don't know what you are talking about.

Sure people speed, but don't post it up here.

lol, i'm only having a laugh. We all do it when it's safe...there's no reason not to when roads are dead in the early hours.
