ninety percent of the time my left foot is sitting on the engine bulge, and change gears thus.

*disengage compressor brake first*

upwards, gently pull on gear stick, blip throttle, slips into neutral.

blip throttle to arrest the fall of the needle more than anyting else.

whilst pushing gently on the gear i want.

when the revs fall to the right revs for the gear I want at

that speed you can feel the cogs mesh as it slots forward away from my hand.

downwards.

unless i'm going too late and edc is acting in anti stall mode and applying ot; in which case i cannae get the cog out.

mash the throttle,briefly.

whilst leaning on it to go into gear.

when the revs match it will slot into gear.

this is a long and protracted process though ie 3secs a cog?
