I had one of them in a Clubman van shell absolutely mental but then blew it up and had a 1.8 honda vtec from a civic type R dropped in :twisted:

as for brakes 16 inch alloys with some majorly rolled arches and 6 pot calipers on big disks 0-60 in sub 5.5 is bloody scary!


Vauxhall redtop engines from the Astra GTE were also quite popular but the most popular conversion at the mo is 1300 huyabusa turbo RWD conversions :shock:

As is my old Mini B586 JPM ! They never die :)
I love Minis, if I had the room I'd have another, a 1275 with fat 10" wheels and lots of chrome :)

Here's my old Mini, I did a ground up rebuild on that thing, stripped it to a bare shell and fitted new everything along with new panels before having a bare metal 2 pack respray in Ford radiant red - then fitted electric windows/central locking, leather seats and new carpets. Was a spangly car :)

Not a turbo unfortunately, But I've just been given a B reg mini city.

15k miles, garaged since new, 1 lady owner. Gonna be a fun little project \:D/

so there i am 1976 Just started work bored to tears flicking through HOTCAR just passed my driving test with no car but saving for a 1969 ford cortina 1600e.
when Mum says come look at the car your Father has just bought me ..its a mini!. But Mum and Dad doing a work friend a favour by buying the car didnt realise that the Mini Was in fact a 1967 white MINI COOPER with a red leather int.Needless to say Mum Never saw much of that Poor Mini i think i saw off just about everything on the road (upto 50 of course) Great Great car even better Summer!
