Mark do you have a longer final drive in your gearbox?
What rpms are you at that speed?
Did you do that speed on a track with speed measuring equipment?

Yes it does, 7500 is the redline. Not been measured above 165 yet but it was still pulling nicely with 810rpm left to go.
I always found mine pulled continuously in 5th gear, pretty scarey speeds onces your up there too. Before my engine xxxx itself into the sump haha

Can't deny that one. did it at the jtuner thrash and those that were there will tell you i got out of the car afterwards and nearly fell over, so much adrenaline running through my legs.

I do really want to top it out at some point though, just to say i've done it.
I would do it if i had a proper track to do it on, I wouldnt like to think i was coming off the road at that speed! If you do, your brown bread!

And no idea what my gear ratios are, I just know they're shorter than standard, and I have to change gear before any car ive ever raced lol.
Im interested in how you know the ratios are shorter. Have you a new gearbox in there, what speeds doe you get to in 1st 2nd and 3rd?
You may be changing gear earlier because when the turbo kicks in the revs creep up very quickly.
All I know it's got a new gearbox that is short ratios, and an AP clutch.
Think it's AP anyway.
And when it's back on the road I'll tell you what speeds I get...

What speed can you do in 1st, 2nd and 3rd?
I think he might mean short shifter, not short ratio
when i phoned around for an AP racing clutch i was told that they dont make one for the two so went for an exedy!!??
have they started making one now??
steve
from the way hes speaking, me thinks this guy doesnt realy know the technical side of things on his car, only the looks - ITS PINK!!!
although without going out now and looking im not sure what speeds i can hit in 1st 2nd and 3rd?!
