Urban wrote:There is another group buy happening at the moment doing the border wings for £170 in carbon.

They need the original ones from japan though to make the mould, so its probably going to be best to team up with that group buy.

I think everyone would prefer these in carbon, even if they are going to be sprayed its still loads stronger than fibreglass.

I want that.

lo all

back from hols and now getting my finger out and sorting out the price on the border wings, i will need to import a set from japan and then see what the initial cost will be to make them and then determine what the final price will be

will keep you all updated as i intend paying a visit to the company who can make them tomorrow

Urban, where's that happening?

Carbon would be my material of choice, though I'd have thought they'd have been a bit more expensive than £180 a pair to get a good weave...

The carbon wings are 180.00 + vat but we need to get the original ones to copy from.
The 180.00 price is a good price and quality is good (i currently have a fibreglass engine lid of theres so know the quality)

I have been told the price of 180.00 + vat is for carbon or may possibly be cheaper if fibreglass. Please remember these are replicas and not the original (which cost 600+ quid)

Prices may go up depending on where we source the original wings from?

This is the price for 2 front wings only.

People interested so far:

1, murmr2 (obviously)
2, cjones2 (carbon)
3, Urban (possibly interested, carbon)
4, msherry21
5, axisofunity (carbon)
6, mr2daz
7, slipping clutch
8, the-dog
9, Mikejc
10, Spittinflames
11, Gregg Harvey
12, jonb- (carbon)
13, KrisB (carbon)

murmr2 its your choice here?

If people seem interested in the carbon then im trying to arrange atm but the same company im using also offer fibreglass.

The only thing we would need to do is source a pair of original border wings (widend and vented)?

Shall we combine the group buys?

IMOCers can you confirm and update the list of your interest and state whether you prefer carbon or fibreglass?

anymore takers...

me and murmr2 are trying to work out the best way to do this. 1st were going to get a pair of border wings then get replicas made up..

If anyone know anyone with a pair of spare or are able to lend us the border the wings this will benefit everyone, otherwise slight cost increase due to courcing the original border wings (hopefully not ot much tho)

Regards

i am interested in the skirts and rear splitters, i already have the front bumper. however i have had some very bad experiance's from styling fx. I ordered a full veilside kit from them last year for my celica.

The kit was up to an inch out at and given point, the brackets didnt match up etc...

just a warning of my personal experiance.

and they said that was a copy off an origional part...
