I've had a bad experience with EBC Reds, abseloutely woeful. But then i've seen Pistol petes car do a whole trackday on EBC yellows without a hint of fade.
So maybe they arent as bad as they used to be :-k

The other half thinks it's embarrassing when I brake and my Carbotechs squeak. Worth it though, they're epic. :D

Suppose it helps that mine isn't a daily driver....

Thanks very much for sharing your experience, I'll get the OEM pads from my man at Toyota and look into the XP6/8's for my next change, anyone have experience of the Carbotech versus the Porterfield item?

Again, apologies for covering old ground but people always seem happy to talk about their experience with different brakes.

Thanks again

I have used Porterfield on my cars since the late 1990s, no noise, not any extra dust and stop the car better than any other pad I have used.
They also last a long time.

not sure I rate the OEM pads, I've got some in mine at the moment and braking isn't as sharp as I'd like it to be. Though, I run stock lines on mine and had braided previously, which I think is causing the issue.

Mine have just started sqeaking too so i'll be looking into this.

Also ask JAAASH as he has fitted porterfields on his turbo.

Im gonna use up the carbotechs then probably try the porterfields. I dont think i could go back to oem pads now but the squeaking is rather embarrasing!
It makes the car sound like the 21yr old car it is.

I'll put up with squeaking for the awesome stopping power of Carbotechs. The missus hates it though, she thinks it's awful and embarrassing.

The best fast road pads I've used (on the Supra) are the Endless MX72 pads, amazing bite, quiet and not too dusty.
