Doesn't kill or even harm turbos.
On boost surge kills turbos, off boost flutter doesn't.

Spoken like it is an accepted fact, which it is not.

Not saying you are wrong....BUT....to bring some balance to this thread here is what a well known turbo manufacturer have to say:

Garrett Turbos wrote:The Blow-Off valve (BOV) is a pressure relief device on the intake tract to prevent the turbo’s compressor from going into surge. The BOV should be installed between the compressor discharge and the throttle body, preferably downstream of the charge air cooler (if equipped). When the throttle is closed rapidly, the airflow is quickly reduced, causing flow instability and pressure fluctuations. These rapidly cycling pressure fluctuations are the audible evidence of surge. Surge can eventually lead to thrust bearing failure due to the high loads associated with it.

There is lots of debate as to whether BOV's are needed, go read the debates and make your own choice :thumleft:

That company is also affiliated with bov companies I heard. So won't say anything negative understandably.

These 'pressure fluctuations' they mention are so minimal it's barely worth noting off throttle.
There are independant papers and pressure graphs showing this over on the US forums. Nothing that is going to cause any additional wear.
Many are converted to running no bovs even on stock turbos.
Nothing bad to report to date.

Obviously on throttle surge is another story.

Guess people can choose what they want to believe, is always a hot topic :-)

Had a screamer pipe on the Supra, if I were doing another build I'd recirculate it or use an internal wastegate, a lot more stealthy!

The other option would be to fit a bypass valve so you can choose between venting or recirculating the wastegate.

Be interested to know who the dark lord is too please.

Worthy of note, screamers are illegal I believe, on cars that need to meet emission MOT test limits. You might get in trouble if you find a MOT centre that knows what they are looking for.

Cheers
