Them steels is tough.

Insane effort. Fitted the other drop link today, with the wheel still on as I've somehow lost my locking wheel nut since last night.

Update: Found my locking wheel nut.

Also this morning, on the way to uni I missed my junction and ended up in the clouds on a 30 mile detour. So I made the most of it, had a nice drive through some pretty good roads, stopped and had breakfast.

Ah it's ok thanks, just going to buy a new radiator. Haven't had it read for codes, no. What do you do out of interest?

Gave it a clean inside & out today, and made the exhaust sparkle much more than it has since I got it.

No fancy camera photos unfortunately.

So my radiator is definitely leaking: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...08132673981371

Car's out of order till I buy a new one. On the upside, read it for fault codes today and none came up which cheered me up.

Thank you, exhaust is my favourite thing. Nice and reserved while normal driving, but a nice sound once you get past about 3k. Need to get it off and give it a full polish really.

New radiator got delivered today, so set about fitting it after work.

Got the old one out, holes everywhere:

Need to clean up those brackets some time. Anyway, got the new one in, swapped the fan and fan temperature sensor over, connected everything up. Started the car and no leaks, which made me happy.

I didn't stay happy though, as after an hour of trying I still couldn't get all the air out of the system and it still overheats and now I'm sad, exhausted and ready for bed. And more buses.

Love your commitment in this weather

Which radiator did you go for? There's a guide on here on how to bleed it properly, I'll try and dig it out for you.

After 10 hours at work too, knackered now.

It's an aluminium core one that'd been recommended. Only problem is the bleed valves are a different diameter to stock so I couldn't get the hose on. Will have to grab some tomorrow, don't know if it will work though - air is released through the valve screw when the hole for the hose is covered. Might be normal, too tired to think tbh.

Tried to bleed it again today. New radiator has a massive diameter bleed valve which I don't have a hose to fit. So I was told to just do it from the heater valve and rad cap. Little better than when I first tried but still not working. Sad face.

This is one of the reasons why I got a copper replacement, bleed valves are the same size as oem and it's all very simple. I did my airlock bleed whilst my girlfriend went for a shower after I put a bad rad cap on once, it only room 30 minutes or so!

Best of luck getting it bled out successfully.
