Hey as I said it's worked for me. My car is just a weekend toy I just use it as a reliable usable car that can handle the twisty roads were I live not really into the anal aspects of it all. Just thought that posting up what had worked for me might help someone out. don't really want to get into debates about physics and chemistry life's too short

I've just refitted my decat with DEI titanium heat wrap on it and I've also wrapped the IC cold pipe with DEI reflect-a-gold and the difference is noticeable, had to turn the boost controller down and the pipe was cool to the touch after a hard run

Hi there, great news you seem to have had the same or similar results to me, like I said in my earlier post it's all about keeping the heat out of the intake area it makes these engines more responsive if you are just running sensible BHP levels 225 to 275 is for me the limits of an mr2s drive ability on UK roads. My mate has a 12 plate GTR running 650bhp with more computers than NASA that are needed to control how it gets that onto the road and yeh he leathers me on the straights but my 260bhp ain't far behind him on the twists in fact we are both very experienced drivers and both prefer the involvement we get out of driving my 2, set your running gear up right, keep your engine as cool as possible, run around 250 bhp take some advanced driving lessons and you will not worry or get caught up in the mines bigger than yours wars.
