I checked everything, pulled on everything and nothing is amiss.
Going to my mates on Wednesday in it after work to see if he can work it out. Going on holiday next week so will have to leave it til after then before I get my alignment checked out.

Re: Still got rear end wobble
I'm by no means an expert here but could it be suspension bushes? Someone please shoot me down if I'm wrong but I'm experiencing a similar thing but on the front. Thought it was wheels so replaced them, then replaced brake discs as I thought they may have been warped. But it's still there. Alignment has been done. The only thing left I can replace is ball joints and bushes. But would worn out bushes cause vibration? My issue is only at 60mph+ though not under acceleration.

Re: Still got rear end wobble
You'll never guess what the problem was/is!!!!
My ******* rear passenger wheel is out of round! Had the rear wheel balanced and that one had to much weight on it as well.
Now, i've got to see if my spare (mk3, non-refurbed) wheel is round so I can have my tyre put on that for Japfest!
Takes the p1$$ really, as I changed the wheel bearings, ball joints, even the gearbox.
Rule: never listen to a garage, listen to your dad who mentioned it first!!

It depends on the garage, don't tar us all with the same brush, to be fair a wheel or tyre defect would have been the first thing i'd check.

Sorry paul, garage was the wrong term.
Should have said 'friends that think they know what they are talking about.'
Although Kwik fit didn't mention the wheel at all but they roosters anyway

Re: Still got rear end wobble
All 4 tyres were out of shape, probably due to the car sitting for 12 months whilst being rebuilt.
The vibration is still there. It can't be anything I did with it over the rebuild period as the problem arose before it came off of the road in October 2012.
Other than a bent wheel, what else could be the issue? Are suspension triangles known to fail somehow? Bent driveshafts?
I can physically put my hands under the rear wheels and push them up into the arch, is that a sign the shocks have failed?
