struggling to understand part numbers here

PFR76-312 - front 83.5mm
PFR76-308 - front 79mm
PFR76-311 - front 73mm

but then i find this..

The rear lower engine mount front bush comes in 3 sizes. These are the internal diameters of the engine mounting bracket. Please check original for correct size. PFR76-305 fits Rev 1&2 models 1989 to 1992 and uses a M14 bolt, for Rev 3 models 1993 to 2000 use PFR76-305-12 which uses an M12 bolt

There is only one rear mount for all SW20 N/As.

There is one only rear mount for all SW20 Turbos

There is only one bolt which is same for all rear mounts for all SW20 MR2s.

Guys I could do with some help here.

I ordered a PFR76-309 rear lower engine mount from a seller which should be an 83mm bush, but when it turned up it didn't fit properly and I noticed that it had PFR76-308 stamped on it, I believe this is a 79mm bush. Thinking it had been incorrectly packaged I sent it back to the seller who promptly ordered another but when it arrived from Powerflex they checked it and the replacement is also stamped with PFR76-308 on the bush (packets have always said PFR76-309).

Now I think this is a packaging issue but the seller has been onto Powerflex who are saying that the PFR76-308 is the correct bush, but I believe this is a 79mm rear lower engine mount bush when I actually need an 83mm one.

Can anybody help clarify. Are there actually two rear engine mount bush sizes 79mm and 83mm ?

I have front and rear 83mm black power flex bushes (the new tough kind).

Measure the bush size WITHOUT the ring.

I ordered 2 x 83mm fronts as my rear certainly wasn't 79mm.

Only way is to remove both bushes, measure, then order.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have my mounts on the bench, old bushes removed so there is no question about what size I need, 83mm back and front just like yourself.

The issue is more what Powerflex are trying to supply or fob the supplier off with.

Getting another front mount (PFR76-312 I think) had crossed my mind as this fits perfectly in both mounts, but wasn't sure if there was a difference in the width/length of the metal tube for the bolt to pass through.

Did you not compare the 79 to the 83?

You mentioned you got the 79 to return it?

I ordered PFR76-312 for the front mount and PFR-309 for the rear mount as listed on the Powerflex website, both which are supposed to be 83mm.

I actually received a PFR76-312, 83mm all OK, and a PFR-308 but in PFR309 packaging which is too small. So I believe the issue is that a PFR-309 would be OK as that is 83mm but a PFR-308 is actually suppose to be 79mm but am struggling to confirm that.

If you've fitted PFR76-312 to both the front and the rear mount and they are OK then I can ask the seller to swap the bush I returned for another pFR76-312.

i "heard" all rear mounts are the same size, ie 79mm. na and turbo.
ive ever seen or heard rears are 83mm, certainly not on powerflex websites.

not sure where you found that info???

the info going around is rears are same size, all revsions/na/turbo
fronts are either 73/79/83

but with the ring removed mine were both 83

when i measured this, i just bought 2 fronts, as the larger size is actually specifically mentioned as being 83mm, the rears are not labelled at 79, or 83 or whatever last time i looked.

to confirm, i ordered 2 fronts for both front and rear
