best oem colour for mk2 ? opinions

Is that the JDM Dark Emerald Pearl? Sure my friends Tubby was that colour, subtly different to Goodwood Green, more of a blue flick to it!

Think my favourite is Zircon Blue or Caribbean Blue.

It can look very bland in normal light:




I've got a super red car at the moment and I think it looks ok but it's a bit boring really. If I could choose any colour it would be caribbean blue (code 8B6).

Yep, 6M1 definitely comes to life in direct sunlight.

I think all the colours look good in the flesh if the paintwork is near on mint. Super Red II is a fantastic colour when all bright and polished as is the Green as it has a nice pearlescent shade to it also..

My fav would be Super Red II.

Possible it had been repainted. My 6M1 car was not the same after a repaint, I think the OEM lacquer had something to do with making the car appear darker and adding that slilght blue/green/purple flip to the finish

I own K7 SSU now. It's definitely goodwood green, 6M1 as so bu88er drove into the wing so need a replacemnet sprayed up and 6M1 was a perfect match

Aquamarine Pearl? Though that was a Rev 1/2 colour only afaik. It's the name mistakenly used for Turquoise pearl 2's.

It's code is 742.

My favourite MR2 colours are probably Black and SMG. I'd stick with black. But any colour can look good depending on the 2.

well the car went in this morning and it will be staying black for now but possible looking at the end of summer to have the lower part of the car painted super red and leaving the roof black

Super Red for me.

It gives the MR2 that proper sports car look. Make's them look Ferrari esq.
