Be warned that an LED display in the clock hole will reflect annoyingly on the windscreen at night unless sunk into the hole. You'll note that the standard clock is sunk in a little to prevent exactly this.

yeah want it to sit in the same location as the clock, i'm thinking the controller is pretty small, says on the rspec website it's the most compact one on the market although, if it's too small it might look crap
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Show me your boost controller
The Gizzmo is pretty compact and looks like this when fitted into the clock hole:
The painted polymorph surround shown there melted while the car was in a garage's yard for a month... and I really missed having a clock where my eyes automatically look for the time

I'm not too keen on that, maybe if it was mounted flush, ach, I can play about with it I suppose. Yeah I might miss the clock too although, my stero display has one!!

Darn tricky to figure out a good location, isn't it? Well, assuming you want it to look relatively stock and don't want to lose vents etc...

Yeah that's exactly what I want, I'll probaby do the next to the fog switches, I thought about the rear cubby box to prevent me playing with it
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Show me your boost controller
Mines just stuck under where the fog light switch is. Just used some sticky velcro.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Show me your boost controller
fitted today, if the screen was a tiny bit bigger to hide the edges this would look perfect, however, i am pretty happy with the result,
it took a good few hours of cutting and filing down the clock thingy but i think i'ts as OEM as it's ever gonna get!!!

cheers man, looks better in the flesh too, annoyingly, i can't seem to set it up, the boost is coming on unbearably slow, i'll stick with it just now hopefully it's just a setting issue, R-spec (who supply it to the UK) have been stupidly helpful with quick responses to emails etc....

Looks good
The performance might be a trade off for the price point etc. We'll see what the manufacturer comes back with though

r-spec reckon it should work fine, he says at 60% gain they had 1.5 bar on a stage 1 evo, i might have something plumbed in wrong somewhere, i'll double check everything as i spent most of the day in the cabin getting the wires sorted (as well as spending a lot of time filing the clock face etc)
