Looking forward to seeing more pics as it gets further down the line.

I will tone down the look a little so much more is one colour and a few parts hydro dipped.

Im not a massive fan of the carbon look in too many areas.

I feel so excited at moment can barely sleep, just thinking solutions to issues all the time.

Lets see how excited I am about going into a cold garage in January with snow all around, to go and destroy my knuckles on some bolts :D

I was hoping the extra car working space because of space frame means less loss of knuckles, we will see!!

Also we will see how many useful bits I've thrown away lol

Delivery day tomorrow. Wish me luck, I've got to get it off a truck 4 /5 ft in the air with 3 of us.

...but do have a flatbed truck with a winch to drag it out on to the first and then decide what we do from 3ft off the ground. So fingers crossed it goes smoothly.

At first I didn't see it first time I saw it because of the differences in headlights etc... But once I had two photos side by side it was obvious.

Really looking forward to getting through the IVA test and then putting my own stamp on as I've got some ideas.

Yesterday was really hard work. But managed to get the car out the container in the end on to the flat bed truck and then on to the floor but it was tricky especially with light fading, took an hour and a half to unload.

The chassis is so beefy and strong that 3 of us couldnt lift it on to the car dolly, so that will be done on saturday, I reckon it will take around 6 of us to move it. Thats good because a V6 / V8 conversion once on the road is do able. nice to have some options... anyway some pics. I'll update the blog at the weekend with more / better pics.

A great looking shell. I'll be following this with interest, I've always fancied building a kit car.

Got the chassis into the garage today, took 6 of us to lift it. :D

I then spent the rest of the afternoon, cleaning the chassis and removing surface rust from its trip across the sea. I followed that by polishing the chassis, just to make sure everything is well protected.

Tomorrow the fun starts...been so busy havent even posted on the blog...but heres the business end

Saw this in CKC and was amazed at how it looks. One of the best looking cars I've seen this year and its epic that its MR2 based.

How do the V8 conversions work? I take it there is more room in it than in the bay of an MR2?

There is a seperate chassis specific for the V8 model however that said, there is more space then a standard MR2 engine bay, so im sure a V8 would fit in it.

Im making good progess, but then id done so much prep work its like a big mechano kit at the moment, the tricky bits are too come!

Expected total build cost will be about £25k but I have replaced a lot of parts that didn't need to be replaced.

That total cost is including wheels, spraying and everything needed to finish. I think ill be slightly over budget but only because I'm replacing a lot more parts then I was going to for a better finish.
