Its shocking the price of them now compared to a few years ago. I've just been weighing up tyre options as think this track day will finish my T1R's off seen as they are down to about 3.5mm already.

Yeah- I do have a set of T1R's I could use but it feels like a waste of a track day, you have soooo much more fun on R888s

I would have no chance of getting R888's on mine as the T1R's only just clear the rear arches as it is. Would require some serious butchery.

I'm probably going to be driving like miss daisy anyway...........

Cool! :+:

Good luck with the tyres.

Must admit, I'm only A drives(!). Still better than those crappy 8 year old plastic tyres I was on last time. Tyres seem to last forever on the AE86. I admit, though, I don't like too much grip, reckon it'd just be flat out everywhere on 888's.

Jay, you can come and bag passenger rides and if you fancy taking your car out in the afternoon, it's normally possible. :+:

Come on, Toni, get paid up before the price goes up to £230. :+:

Can you guys recommend a reasonable B&B anywhere near the track? The one we've used for the last few years has closed

Not sure where you are coming from, Ashley. If it's any help we can find space for you guys I reckon. It does mean a two hour drive in the morning, but as Steve will tell you this includes McD's brekkie! ;)

Sounds like a good day...

Getting to Anglesey for first time AND seeing Ben after some time would be good but the call of some tarmac in an empire far, far away is too much...

hope Ben enjoys his long overdue track time...
