Will this not damage the hub at all?

I have smacked the thing pretty darn hard already.

i have never managed to damage one and boy have i hit them hard lol, proper dents left in the disc..

need big mallet!

Sledgehammer ftw. I am being serious. Just make sure you hit the hub/disk and nothing else.

Only other thing is like sjm says, try turning it as you go, or hit the opposite side on alternate smacks! Failing that think we all agree bigger hammer or buy a new car and sell this to me for "spares" for 200 pounds........................................... :pray:

If you are still stuck use a hacksaw, chisel and hammer, tried and tested method if everything else fails :thumleft:

as said, big hammer and a huge swing at it. Ive had to literally smash the disk off before on previous cars

Still haven't got round to trying the big hammer attempt. Not likely to find the time to have a good "bash" until next week.

p.s. I definitely won't be using an angle grinder...I have a pretty bad fuel leak to sort out as well :(
