Try doing a search for the car. It's had loads of work done.

There's quite a bit on the cars original build/history here:

http://web.mac.com/dghawkes/F800_EAM/Welcome.html

Not all of the information is entirely accurate with regard to the cars current condition but it's not far off.

Since we got it I've not done a great deal to it. My focus is on getting it running again for the time being (not sure how I'm going to test it as I can't afford to tax and insure 2 track cars!) although I've also got a few jobs to do on the orange car after our last TSS outing (and as the current competition car keeping that running is the priority)

So far I've got the turbo/manifold and various bits of pipework off and attached to a slave engine in the garage so I can work out all the plumbing without having to lay on my back. With regard to the previous conversion I've got a couple of things I'm planning to change:

1) Oil drain at the turbo end needed redoing as the new turbo has a different fitting, not entirely happy with the angle of the drain that was on there anyway so I'll probably redo the whole thing. Current plan is a straight hard pipe direct from the turbo to the sump which will be at an angle of somewhere around 30 Deg.

2) Oil filter needs relocating to clear the new turbo. Car came with a Mocal kit for that although I'm going to replace the push fit lines/fittings with AN ones as I don't want there to be any chance of those lines coming off.

3) Oil feed for the turbo was taken from a 'T' in place before the oil pressure sender. I don't like that arrangement as there is a risk of the T snapping off under vibration etc. Planning to put the sender back to stock and take an oil feed from the remote filter head.

4) I need to fabricate a bracket to tie the turbo to the bottom of the block as I'm not happy with the weight of the turbo just hanging off the manifold.

5) Once the turbo is in place I need to make up a new downpipe as the flange on the turbo is different and the old one has been cut up.

On top of the turbo I've also identified a few other areas that need attention:

1) Couple of areas of corrosion which have been allowed to get a little scabby
2) Drivers seat installation needs redoing, it's way to hight at the moment, even without a helmet my head is inside the cage and almost against the roof. In our orange car I've got a good few inches above me even with a lid on.
3) General tidy up of wiring/plumbing in the engine bay in order to ensure that I know what everything is for, that everything redundant is out of the way and that it'll be reliable. Given that there's very little in the engine bay that's standard in this regard it's important that I've got my head around it all.

Hmmm, it had no alternator until Rickster bunged one on last year

So may have been severely stripped back :!:

No jenny wouldn't meet competiton regs for a modified road car

It also had Hi-Spec Racing front brakes, now removed & sold on

That's the last I saw of them:

I'd be quite interested to know where they ended up too in case I ever need anything!

I think £700 is asking alot also. Dont get me wrong you could make that money back no problems but its rather custom kit if you ask me.

Why don't you just make your own moulds?

Whoever made those did it through trial and error so its not impossible for someone else to make them.

A lot of them would be quite complex, and with
Some I would rather take a used mould of something complex yet expensive to buy than to waste slot of cash trying to get the mould I make 100%, and also risk ruining the part you are moulding.

IIUC the moulds were made professionally at very great cost Alex

The shape of some differs considerably from stock

So £700 was a bargain really.

Yes it may have been a real bargain Alex

Reading the blurb, one company wanted £3K just to make a mould for the front bumper & splitter
