I heard that the SSQV was the best model as it is the only one that prevents back pressure or something? In the 3 years I have owned one it is what stands out in my mind when this topic comes up.

I have one with a Purple insert.

Can I just ask, whilst we're on topic...

I believe the HKS SSQV has to be used with a re-circ pipe on >rev 3 cars.. Can the re-circ be done away with if I stray to after market management? Also, does it affect the sound at all?

GTS GAV - If DarrenMr2 doesn't have your's, I will take it off your hands.

Thanks, Orrin.

Rev 1 - 2 will need a Recirc if you want to keep your performance. If you get rid of your AFM and go with a Rev3+ style setup you wont need recirc

Rev3+ Doesnt need a Recirc

Just looking on the 'bay to buy an SSQV..

They are universal, then do I need the Recirc adapter?

How is it going to sound? Considering it'll be plumbed as recirc?

Thought as much!

I want the most effective valve but I would like a bit of noise to be honest... Do I have many options? :-k

Anyone know the difference between mk1 and mk2 ssqv's? What difference does the purple insert make? and is the insert the three fins?

Cheers

There are vids on youtube of the valve with and without the various inserts, just search SSQV

no idea how you swap in the "stiffer" spring option tho. i got the spring, but no idea how to get the bov apart. didnt look obvious.

(i used to own a greddy type S, love that sound!!! unfortunate the type R doesnt sound like it)
