There was a cryptic message released by Polyfony Digital a while back (check the GT forums) regarding GT5 info.

Basically: (if memory serves me correct)

500+ Cars

96 Tracks

32 (upto) Players Online

Some form of track designer???

Car Damage???

Night Racing

Different weather conditions

Nascar & WRC game modes

Release date, Either December 1st or March 2010, No one seemed to agree at the time which one but the PSP version is out this year first. Looking at the new HD previews on the PSN i don't care when it's released, It'll be worth the wait :D

EDIT: and you can buy a cheaper cut down version off the PSN and add stuff/game modes you want to play or just dish out for the full game on BluRay (which will most likely take 10 hours to do a 30 gig install #-o)

I think what you mean to say is "if it's released before the next generation of consoles arrive it might have been worth the wait"

There's only so long they can hold the release back before it becomes outdated before ever being released.

I doubt they're holding it back deliberatly, More like trying to make a more "complete" package and they're hoping the work they've done to the online side of it stops all the d1cks from coming in causing a smash then exiting and spoiling it for everyone who wants a good'ol challenging race.

It has to be perfect really as it's flying the PS3 flag in the driving game genre and all eyes will be waching as it will be compared to the Forza and PGR series on the 360 which are outstandingly awesome games!!!

But is there not a point when something just takes too long?

Any developer could make "the complete package" if they had 5 years to spend on one game.

Sony are suffering now, they need a big seller and they should of had GT5 by now.

Any developer can make the complete package but they make more money releasing a smaller game and changing the digit at the end of the title then releasing a new version every single year.

I have plenty of other "big sellers" to be playing with until it's release that's why i'm not bothered when it arrives. If the content is as big as it sounds there's a chance we'll be playing it for a long time and the next GT game will come in PS4 form (in 2035 :D)

Ta. :+:

It does look very impressive. Will obviously buy it when it does come out. Might even dust the steering wheel off too. :+:

Im getting quite f*cked off waiting for this game tbh, I forked out around £300 bucks to buy the PS3 purely for this game (and MGS), and theres only one other game that i like on it so far and thats COD, and i couldve got that and Forza on an Xbox 360 for a lot less cash!

Sony = C*nts in my books!

Subjective. I've only had one xbox go pear shaped in about 3 years and according to various reports, they can easily be fixed with a couple of quid kit from ebay.

Can someone please edit the title of this thread to correct the slight error, it's doing my head in! ](*,)

Anyways, apparently they're going to announce the release date "soon". Source

Or instead of editing the title, id suggest that whoever gets annoyed at a spelling mistake on a forum should go watch some porn n de-stress :thumleft:
