its a biggie indeed, great for grabbing a fistfull

i went in to work one dayt and thought sod it

biggest piece of bar i could find, tapped it etc, polished it had it anodised

it feels amazing though

i would expect to see a shifter like that in a tank, alongside another. not in a sports car! its all about contact points, steering grip, gear shift grip, cheeks to chair grip etc.
A good finish, dont get me wrong and probably a very unique feel. have you tried making baseball bats n pleasure toys? lol

as for my knob? i just peeled the outer leather off and was left with a smaller plasticky version. a mkI knob maybe? #-o

mattcambs wrote:I used to have a Momo Anatomica which looks quite like a new standard knob (most are very worn and shiny). The only trouble is that the weight of a gear knob makes a huge difference in how it feels.

I had to load up the inside of the Anatomica with small nuts (not the edible sort!) just to give it some much needed weight.

I know that Moo (paul) on here has a brand new rev3 knob from Toyota (£80  ), but the look and feel is awesome. It has a really nice texture on it that has worn off most peoples old ones.

 he could have had it refurbed by me for £17 inc p&p
