I'm looking forward to seeing what this is going to be.. I have my suspicion but I won't say anything incase I ruin it.

It's crazy to think how much history is in this thread. I'm going to start my
Own this evening... Finally I might add :p

He has the details but I'm not sure if he'll ever join. I'd like to think he'll send me the odd photo every now and then, but so long as he's using and enjoying it I'm happy :)

You should for sure. You've got some serious machinery and everyone likes snooping around another man's automobile

Got my insurance quote through for the new car.... £150.53, fully comp with breakdown cover and a £100 excess!

It's changed a hell of a lot since I got it and its only going to change more if I can keep the overtime coming in :p

Mate that's unreal! £150? I can't wait to get under £700.. I only just turned 22 though so I guess that doesn't help.

I am dying to see what you have got though

Busted :eye: Although I was struggling to convince myself I wanted a bike over a car. My aim with something quick, easy and fun, without the hassles of licenses, tests etc, as that would push things to the end of summer and out of time to enjoy what I buy.

Mule 3 is fully aimed at being just a fun car, allowing to get in and drive, rather than having to spend days building. It won't be the last car I own for sure, however I do see a good few months ahead with it. I'm itching to get on a track and this is the perfect tool for it..

If you don't mind me asking what age are you bud?

I have 1 year NC also but that's totally my own silly fault which ill maybe disclose at a later date haha!

Mine is registered as a 2.0L NA UK rev5.. If I was to mention any mods other than wheels I'd get the shaft. The company my dad uses to insure his car won't touch me until I'm 23 but they will cover absolutely everything and anything at a fair price. The guy who runs it is car daft.

I'm 35, so I'm one of those "safer older drivers"... Although in reality the older you get the more money you have to buy silly cars

Insurance prices are crazy high these days if you're early 20's!

Yeah it's funny how that works isn't it... More money more power yet less premiums :/ .. Ahwell to be fair I can't complain too much.. Ive always had really good insurance prices compared to most my age (due to my old man dealing with it all over the phone) but its still a lot of money in all fairness.
I just checked there and ill be £649.47 to insure my car again today and that's on a comparison site.

26yo, 1 write off declared although that was 4-5years so doesnt affect premium anymore, also 3points ](*,)

Imagine how much new drivers will be paying when you're at the age of cheap(er) insurance

I've got a write off on mine also.. "Act of god" so it was deemed my fault. £18500 claim :/ I don't think it hinders me too much though... Although I did have to wait until I was 21 to get insured again (the write off happened 6 weeks before my 21st) ..

My first year I paid £1400 fully comp on a 1.4 civic (EK shape) when my mates were paying £2500 fully comp for 1.2 corsa's that I could leave for dead. I never understood the logic in that given that shape of civic was a high risk vehicle according to statistics.
That should give you an idea of what they must be paying. However, it has kinda changed since they brought in that equal premium for females and males.

Anyways I've went right off topic on this thread.
Apologies

cant wait to see you bring the new "car" down in 2 weeks time :)
talking of insurance
for my fully modded remapped 2007 ST focus i pay £230 and my mk1 with a mk2 turbo engine all mods and power confirmed i pay 550

Both added together are still a lot less than i used to pay for a standard nova GTE...
