I don't think you'll go for ploughing money into cars anymore tbh...

I think your going to get into bikes in a big way next. Nothing beats that adrenaline rush :thumleft:

I'm not sure what I'll do next to be honest. A bike engined car seems to be a good interim toy choice though :)

Sure do http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... ar/1547815

I'm looking at it as a fun toy. The paint isn't perfect which to me is a good thing, as I'll not feel like nannying it around everywhere. If I love it and see myself keeping it for the distance then I'll do the whole Magic Beans clean-up thing. If not then I'll tidy it up and sell it on, likely for what I paid or a little more.

I'm kinda thinking I'll go through a series of cars for a while, until I'm ready to settle down with something again. Sounds like a relationship break-up

Just get yourself a bike Phil, unless your going to splash out on something special like a 911 or tvr most cars will be some sort of compromise, a bike will give you the rush you want more often at safer speeds than the majority of cars and having a medium fast car like your bmw and a bike tends to work better as a low maintenance compromise than medium car, high maintenance car your not 100% sold on. Your welcome to borrow my ducati if it'll help the decision making process

Thanks for the offer and advice Chris :thumleft:

The BEC option was seen as an introduction into the whole bike thing, without having to go the whole hog and do my full test etc. It meant I could jump in and go now, rather than wait until the end of summer and ultimately next year before I can get out on a proper bike.

It resembles biking as much as me wearing a dress does being a lady.

Yeah licencing is a pain, for you id probably do cbt and theory then get an old sit up like a bandit or hornet for sub 1k then just book your tests yourself, both are easily passable with no formal training you'd just need to find yourself a quiet place to practice clutch control, the bottom car park at fmc would be loads of space and to be fair if you did your cbt on a manual you'd likely pick up enough practice from that. As for missing this summer if it's like last year there'll be enough decent days well into autumn
