Ok, i'm guessing you haven't got any reply from jonny then?

FWIW i haven't seen him around on yahoo or other forums all week, so guessing he's busy with new premises and stuff.

I will take you out for some laps anyway - as long as you dont start comparing turbo sizes again :)

Might even let him drive if I'm feeling REALLY generous  !

Yes please Ben! I was even considering driving down to Ipswich and pester you for a ride in it, I'm that keen!

And Jonno, don't know if you remember, you promised me some passenger laps as well! (When are you driving up by the way - I'm in Derby?)

I was hoping to make it up today, but my car's not ready yet! May yet be a mad dash up in the morning. If anyone is going up today I can highly recommend the Windmill Pub on the main road in Dunnington for an evening meal. If I do make it up anyone want to meet there, I dunno 8pm? Add some names to list below....

Don't forget you still owe me a passenger ride from Bruntingthorpe :P

It looks like I'll be able to make it in Red Betty as she is getting her new shocks fitted this morning, but probably won't have the chance/time to get tracking/geometry sorted as well. Also hopefully fitting the 1b steering wheel today to replace the sideplate that's currently on there.

Not sure as to whether I'm convoying up with Chris (Limey) today or driving up first thing tomorrow yet... Whichever I'll see you all at the track 8)

I think you might be in luck, as I can't see any way of me getting there, now, due to a bank account with less than no money in it, and an overdraft that ran out on the 1st.

Just got back in from angersea.

Turns out we are short of marshals tomorrow, so its going to be a mega pita for me as i'm going to have to marshal out on a post which isn't going to be sociable or particularly helpful for giving passenger rides as well as do recovery when needed. Mark will be out with me too so we'll have to take it in turns to have the car/be on post etc.

Don't suppose someone wants to earn £50 marshaling?

I'll be there all day Lauren, I don't mind doing a few shifts as a Marshall if you need me but would rather avoid a full day because I want to have some rides and generally wander too.... see you in the morning....

Thanx for the offer Michael, appreciate that. Think 20minutes would be more than enough tbh... course i'll have to okay it with jonny, but really its a matter of a bit of flag waving when necessary plus a good viewpoint of course! ;)

many thanx,

Hey all, just got back from the track day.... .Totally knackered, had a real good time today!

I wanna say a big thanks to all the guys who took me out in their cars, the people who lent me the trolly jack, and everyone else for being generally friendly.... I'm really bad with remembering names so i'm not even going to try.... but u know who u are (I should hope)...

Also HUGE thanks to lauren for organising this day =D> It was absolute quality and I would recomend it to anyone. Its reasured me of my cars handling, and helped me to understand it better.... I would totally reccomend elvington and book a track to anyone who's intrested.

Anyways enough rambling, car's back in one piece.... (shame about the tyres) and it seems to be ok (touch wood).... I've had a wicked day and I hope to be at the next one :P

Got to agree Simon, it was a fantastic day! :D

I am also absolutely knackered and can only be bothered to post a few words tonight....

I know Mark Nias (Shish) took some photos, hope he will post them here.

I took some photos, if they're any good I will post them tomorrow.

Excellent day indeed, in fact, far exceeded what I was expecting, totally knackered too, hope to see some pics posted soon, I did have my cam corder but found I couldn't have it in the car unless it was fixed with a clamp!! Fair do's but it means I don't have much video which is a shame as I had a couple of spins !! :D (along with a load of excellent laps which surprised me how well these cars handle and what you can do with them)
Looking forwards to the next one.
Thanks to everyone who gave me a ride in their car and who had a chat throughout the day.

Ditto ! Also have an aching neck, and a sore left knee from bracing myself against the centre tunnel ( mental note - must stick something soft there for next time :D )

Thanks to everyone who organised and ran the day. Will I be the first to ask....when's the next one ?
