Hi Mate

Had a convo with "C35Rob" about it and he mentioned
"I saw that on imoc mate, looks decent, the dip in torque and power will be attributable to the afr's dipping to mid-11's around 4K, he may have richened it up there as that's a prime detonation spot as there's a lot of load on the motor there"

The car drives incredibly smooth and there is only a very slight noticeable flat spot, but it's almost not there. As said above, Walton expects it to be wastegate efficiency that would be changed with the upgrade of a new turbo ?

Either way I'm happy.

I did also say i'd personally have it closer to 11.5 all the way across, sacrificing a touch of power for a margin of safety. However, Walton knows what he's doing and if he's happy it's not at risk of det then I'd just leave it alone and enjoy it :thumleft:

rob, looks as close to 11.5 across the board to me.... :-k

aside from the dip.

be interesting to see the car perform over a 1/4 mile, as may give me an idea of what power i finally managed to get out of my 20b.

I stand corrected, looking on my phone it seemed like the horizontal grid line tallied up with the 12:1 on the Y axis, now I've zoomed in you're right, it's definitely 11.5 :thumleft:

You and me both Jim, the stage 1 launch control should defiantly help
Getting it off the line also ! As soon as I have an opportunity next spring
I'd love to take it to a 1/4 event and get an idea !

Also aiming to have it out on track, Brands is only 30 minutes up the M25
From me, will expect however that I'll need to use the bung for the NUR spec !
I had to have a custom baffle made for my GsxR there !

Again not chronologically posted, but I finally decided the cheap S2000 cone
filter the car came with needed replacing with something a little more
upmarket. Managed to get hold of this near mint Apexi Power intake with heat
shield and brace for £80. Had 5ltr's of filter cleaner left over from my KTM
so cleaned the filter thoroughly and fitted. This was fitted prior to mapping.

Then Fitted with the brace to hold it in place which works perfectly.

This weekend however I managed to get a few little tasks done that had built
up over Xmas and one much larger !
First up was to fit the Tegiwa MC brace that I ordered shortly after having the
all new brake setup fitted. Tegiwa actually sent it with bolts to short and
after calling to ask them to send the correct ones and receiving ones even
worse I decided to bite the bullet and pay for them myself.
Here is the kit as I received,

Image

And with a few assemblies and reassemble attempts to make sure its perfect
and doing its job, Used Nylock nuts to make sure of no movement.

Image
Image

Then onto fitting the HID kit that I had purchased from "Team Elemental"
Along with 4 new White 501 dash LED's and two White LED interior light bulbs

Image

The HID KIT was a direct H4 replacement and very easy to fit, I decided to cut into the rubbers
that mount on the rear of the headlight unit to allow for the wiring to pull through,
and protect the rear of the headlight.

Image
Image

And fitted, running full beam compared to the Osram Nightbreaker H4 bulbs
I was already running.

Image

Interior light's fitted, really a night and day difference !

Image

And the dash LED's fitted, replacing cheap Ebay ones that had failed and
gave of a purplish hue. Photo doesn't do these any justice, much better.
and no hotspots !

Image
Finally the biggest Job which I actually tackled first, I had painted the callipers
black in the past to protect and for visual reasons, however with new callipers
they needed doing again. I decided on another colour and went for this light
grey. Jacked the car up onto stands ( which takes 3 jack's due to front end height ! )
and stripped the brakes down to give access for painting. Final results !

Image

Just received the black TRD heat resistant decals to apply this weekend.

Oh and one other thing, the cars going to be on YouTube :D

Waiting patiently for the NOM NOM FAT DUGGITS CHEEKY CHEEKY review but it's not up yet. It didn't even click that it was your car when I saw it on instagram because I've not been checking member profiles much since they remind me of mine. Congrats!

fyi, your front strut brace is a TOMS, the rear could also be, or an ebay/cusco.
Yep mr2s did come with leather door cards, UK ones did.
Actuator pressure is 0.5bar assuming you have an oem actuator.
Oh and stock, 241bhp, 245ps
