11.8psi boost (peak) & 249.8bhp/217lbs not bad for an engine that stock is 133bhp.

also this wasn't on the good stuff (V-Power or Tesco 99).

p.s. one of only 2 guys on the mx5 forums that went with megasquirt,... well he needs a new engine as he killed his setting it up.

Good going that Steve. :thumleft:

Must be a right hoot to drive! :D

that it is :D I suspect yours may have some what more "throw you in to seat acceleration".

Have you weighed the car yet, be good to see a PWR to have a perspective of how it should compare to other cars?

I guess its about 1250Kg? with the carbon bits so about 360bhp/ton, 100bhp ton more than me and not far off 200bhp/ton more than a stock rev1 turbo :D

Was weighed a few weeks ago Steve. Just over 1200Kg (1211 to be pricise). It has a few more ponies too now.

Adding my 2c, the Adaptronic as mentioned earlier is an awesome peice of kit, and the only truely self mappable fueling ecu. You can really can set up the lambda tables against load/rpm, and just drive the car with no further input on the laptop. Even in 10 mins, a stuttering barely idling base mapped car can be fine to drive in 10 mins. Ive mapped a customers car to a base of 10psi in only 20 mins, with a perfect AFR plot to suit..

If you change engine spec, such as more boost, cams, turbo exhaust etc, you just switch back into self learning mode and let the hardware do its thing.

For example..

Take a look at the AFR. Nigh on dead flat. All not just at WOT, all load conditions had perfect AFR scaling at their respective levels. And this is all self mapped through the ECU and wideband, such as an LC1/LM1 etc...

Ignore the power curve, its an old restrictive turbo'd V6 engine that doesnt breathe...

Theres lots of other trick things that no other ecus have, such as torque sensing, so you can advance ignition timing without the need for a dyno etc..

There have been numerous 3SGE/GTE applications done to date.
