a weekend stripping my old landrover means today i could get it on the trailer and away to the scrapper.

ive fitted a hidden switch to the underside of the nose cone...

challenge... guess what its for.. there is a clue a couple of pages back

it switches a heavy relay that isolates the rear fusebox so the alternator stops draining the battery. as im swapping the engine soon it wasnt worth fixing properly...

Probably would have been less effort to just fix the drain issue :lol:

I'm interested as to the location though.. why not inside the car? on the dash perhaps. :?:

because my central locking doesnt work when its switched off and i didnt want to be able to see it or drill a bloody great hole in the dash. #-o

Oh I see, it'd upset me having a hole in my bumper even if i couldn't see it. and it would rub on my OCD that it is leeching power i'd have to fix it myself.

ah well yes, i can repair the bumper after the engine swap if it bothers me, but.. i have plans that involve holes in bumper, and that one is in the right place...... :mrgreen:

what do y'all think about the garrett t3 turbo on a v6? im thinking its a little small but what do i know?
