Right everyone.

Thanks all for putting your name down for this years JAE.

We are aiming to make it the biggest and best yet!

A little update for you all to let you know we are well on track on organising this years show.

At the moment we are agreeing the ticket price structure bearing in mind we are having to hire generators, lights etc this year.

Its not that expensive and have got some great rates from JAE organisers.

Its something the club can fund as well as subsidised tickets.

This is where your very important premium membership money comes into its own.

Premium members will be given a discounted ticket price to reflect the valuable contribution they have made to the club.

So if you are not premium, now is the time to join up!

£7.50 goes a long way!

One idea being floated around at the moment for the Saturday night

'shindig' is an external caterer.

We are looking along the lines of a fully catered themed barbecue with sausages, burgers, chicken, vege kebabs, salad etc etc on the offering.

Having our

'pitch' adjacent to the beach this year gives us a great opportunity for a themed evening such as a beach party, Hawaian night(i know we did that last year but this year we actually do have a beach!), or even a

'surfer dude/chick' night.

If you have any ideas please let us know.

.

.we are all ears!

There is also the daytime events to think about.

We put on a good effort last year with the JAE Tug-of War.

Considering we did not practice and the team was thrown together at the last minute we won the Inter club wrestle with the OC and only narrowly missed out on the final.

If you are interested in joining this years team get in touch with Chris

(Limeymk1) who is looking at putting a strong squad together.

The bigger you are the better!

Then there is the 5-a side footie, and various other JAE organised events.

Show and Shine comps, best of show etc.

On the Friday night there is a confirmed Oasis tribute band booked to entertain us all.

That will be on in the main hall on the showground.

Well worth attending that one!

If anyone would like to help out with organising any aspect of this years show, be it setting up the gazebos, helping rig up lighting or even help organising the event itself please do PM me and i will give you the low down.

We are always looking for people who have a bit of spare time on their hands and who want to give something back to the club as keen event organisers.

As i said earlier, we are currently structuring the tickets and prices and i am hoping to post up details next week at some point.

We will then need to start collecting money from you all.

If you have any questions or ideas please post them up or PM me.

Thanks!

See you all at JAE 2008!!!!!
