I can't help it if you two can't keep up.

I'm glad you enjoyed it,it really is difficult to keep 40 cars together.
Probably about 20 cars turned up at the Marina and about 10 cars when i left.
I hope everyone had a good day.
I was the one handing out the maps and taking peoples names and car details.
Thanks must go to everybody that turned up :D

Oi! You never got away from me man. We did Kinda leave Chris though! Thought, "oh he'll over take this people carrier too" He never did lol.

I believe on one bend I was gaining on you even. But you weren't trying right ;)

lol. I know I'd have no hope if it was an empty road for miles lol

I need a teeny bit more of a run up to get past things than you guys! There were plenty of places where I could of passed that MPV but all had traffic coming the other way.

Clutch seems to be holding up ok, I think it was dumping it at 8000rpm from 2nd to 3rd which caused it to slip somewhat!

Next time I might be a little more able to keep up.

Class meet =D> . It was great to meet everyone.

Great day out - Thanks to the organisers for a great meet =D>

The drive down to Beachy Head was great even if the group I was in got lost (you know its going pear shaped when the cars you are following start coming past you in the other direction  )

But what is it with people who see a convoy and then go out of their way to cut in and break it up though (Frontera man was a case in point - and then made life as difficult as possible for met to get past)?

Was great to meet fellow enthusiasts though, Karl your Mk1 was ace, really wish mine looked so red and some of those turbos could even tempt a Mk1 junkie like me!

to cap it all I gave my car the thrash of its life trying to keep up with a couple of turbos back home along the A272. It was only traffic that allowed me to though as I didn't have the poke to exploit all the overtaking opportunities they could

ta muchly, lots of polishing, lots and lots of polishing. Having left the suncream at home yesterday though I now have a nose and neck to match.

Nooooo! Don't do it. Just get a turbo conversion.

Certainly a fun cruise about, didn't get out of fifth much though as the traffic was a bit thick......
..... until I was on the way home. Pootled down the A259 until the A2070 branches off for Ashford. All the traffic went that way, except me, must've had a 3 mile stretch of wonderful country road all to myself. The car is now devoid of all cobwebs. :D
Red ones go faster......

Relax, it would in addition to, not instead of 8) As for the turbo conversion, definitely if I had the money. I would need a second Mk1 though, I couldn't bring myself to hack up my red one.
