I heard some guy crashed his car because his brakes line failed, they said if only it had a bracket and not a p clip the hose would of never burst.......

Well, today I did a track day at Snetterton with my 'low quality', supposedly bodged HEL brake lines.

No one died. What a miracle.

What's pads you using now on your WMS calipers??

I'm not keen on these yellow stuff pads, will use them till their dust , then change but interested to know what your using now :-k

Whats A WMS calliper?

ANyone using supra or brembo type brakes from another car?

One lad on the TF forum changed his brakes to brembo 4 pots off some merc.
Had to have a bracket fabricated to use em and also needed to change discs too with a added bit of remanufacturing re pcd etc.

Also when he changed the rear brakes to bigger jobbies, he had to fit an additiona 2nd calliper as a spot brake for handbrake.

Hi Julian

Ive got Carbotech xp8 on there now, but yeah they are way too dusty and they havent reacted well from using them on the street as they seem to have lost most of their cold bite annoyingly.

I've ordered a set of Porterfield R4-S pads from america, but i've had to get a friend to ship em to me. You might have a better response than i did from whifbitz who do em in the uk.

Not read 5 pages but carbotech anyhoo .. never found anything else stop you quicker ... but yeah bit dusty 8-[ :cry:
