ahh i'm glad some like.. getting a few negative comments.. but i don't think they get the true point of the car...

it's good for a lugh, kids and adults alike love it at shows or trackdays..
and take tem off and its back to a normal car./.

bit questions BGW or not??..

i have a black roof so could work really well and get money back towards something else on the rev 5 wing

You'll always get negativity, no matter you choose to do. Especially as it's a nice clean rev5 and you want to deface it.

As you're planning on racing it you need to consider the performance effects of whatever you change. A BGW is somewhat switched on if you use an ASK/F40 style engine cover, otherwise it's just extra drag and no benefit.

i do want to get a cover like that eventually, but then it might make it pro class. i need to find out.. as its areo.

spoilers are allow, and i think the BGW may be lighter than the rev 5 wing.. but to be honest i like the rev 5 wing .. hmmmmm

Keep the rev 5 wing and sell the carbon BGW then? That's got to be worth a bit as well. surely... :-k

Well today I sorted the front binding caliper.. Will monitor but seems good now

So took it out for a run round local roads..
What a different car to what I'm used to.. Much bigger and heavier feel to the mk3..
It's definitely gonna take some getting used to. I don't feel confident.. Yet ;).. Maybe gonna book an evening trackday at brands when I get back from Scotland.

Overall think it's gonna be a great car. A lot more guts and pull through the gear than the mk3 had which will be nice on track where I felt the mk3 needed to be stronger..
Now for arbs and coilovers etc and a good set up. Make it handle bettrr..

yesterday saw the car get a bit of pampering.
New dizzy, rota, leads, plugs
New Blitz oil, and toyota oil filter, coolant change
Also a set of EDC yellowstuff pads fitted

Purchaed a set of 16's which need painting, Also the Decals arrived today

Starting to get to grips with the handling now.. slowly..

definatly running better with new ignition components, when i changed lead 1 it snapped, so that would be my hesitaion i have been having

also fitted my steering wheel too

I was asked recently quite a few times what weight the corvette is in petrol stations and such. I kept estimating 1600-1700kg and bluffing it. Thought I had better look it up and was pleasantly surprised to read it was 1470kg.

Anyway, I then got on to comparing that to my old SW20. 1270kg. Then I look up the MK3... 996kg!! Phenomenal.

Yeah plus the weight I stripped out of it
The mk2 really does feel like a lard ar$e in comparison

Still twice as heavy as a car needs to be

What colour wheels, then, Pete? Red? Orange?

Well the mr has gone in for new clutch as was feeling very weak..
So while it was in thought I would sort wheels

I tried to get good wheels and tyres but struggled so opted for a cheap set of wheels and put tyre on
I managed to get these at a bargain price all stripped De kerbed etc Image

So thought they were cheap and wanted to keep cheap I'll stray them myself..
After primer and top coat they looked like this

Looked awesome.. But you know me I like a little colour.
So at work last night so spray cans of paint had been ordered by accident.. Happened to find their way home
Now they look like this

Fluorescent red ;)
Though it would be fitting as the decals going on Saturday are red..
All ready for Woodbridge on Sunday ;)
