Plugs are pregapped so i havent messed with them. I've read that you shouldn't try to gap iridium plugs as the tips are brittle.

very true, they are known (not common, but known) for losing a tip..not what you want being dragged up and down a cyl wall.. I'd rather have the correct copper cored plugs and replace them more often. (bkr7e for our engine)

boost leak/dodgy dump valve - no, not on a rev3+ since they are speed density management not MAF

Adjusted the dump valve anyway because it looked like it was opening before the throttle was released. It has made an improvement, but the issue is still there.

Pulled the leads. Decided to check the plugs again, just in case i missed anything yesterday. 3 out of 4 all have cracks in the ceramic insulator. God knows how I didn't see that yesterday #-o Was only checking the tips.
I still have my old copper plugs, albeit grade 6 not 7. But I'm going to temporarily fit those to confirm the problem.
I'll sort some new plugs during the week.

What would be the cause of the insulators cracking?

no problem, glad it's all sorted! The ceramic part is quite fragile really.. can break down from excessive heat or poor handling.. dropping them especially.

Haha, nope. She's tucked away for the next couple of weeks now.
Then I'll have 1 weekend left before Japfest to get the bodykit fitted. All gonna be a bit touch and go

Finally got all my bodykit back from the painter this week \:D/
Cutting it close for Japfest but this bank holiday weekend should give me enough time to get the car sorted.

No pictures of the kit as of yet but I'll get some on here tomorrow.

Took off the old bumpers and sideskirts today and started clay barring the body.
Gonna finish claying in the morning, then start the polishing. Hopefully the car will be completely polished and waxed by the end of tomorrow. Ready for fitting all the new kit on Sunday. Leaving Monday to sort a few other minor little things. Interior clean up, couple of stickers etc etc.

Also going to get my rogue quad headlights fitted this weekend.

So lots to do.

And then maybe I'll get round to doing that startup video  lol

Still standard ecu so can't do any mapping unfortunately.
2gr plans are still in the back of my mind for a few years down the line so I may go standalone then.

Had a pretty productive bank holiday weekend :)

Gave the body a good going over with the DA polisher. I didn't think it needed much but the white is so much brighter now. Well happy with the results.

Fitted all my freshly painted bodykit :D
Rogue lights fitted and wired up to keep all 4 lights on for high beam 8)
Rear light quad mod done, finally!
Twin engine lid fans fitted.
Sunstrip and seatbelt pads too.

Pictures

Almost ready for Japfest now. Still need to clean and refit the the wheels.
The interior also needs a bit of a wipe down but the misses has offered to do that when she gets here on Thursday :)
New bulbs for the headlights are on the way too so they need fitting.
Got a few decals for the rear windows on the way too :D

Edit - I haven't forgotten about the rear lights  Gonna polish them back to their shiny best :)
