Oh yeah, getting the stock one out is almost as much of a b1tch as removing that bloody cover over the interior dome lights

Haha, sore fingers? The trick I found was to pull the side nearest to you and. Leathery fingertips help, from all the DIY wounds over the years. I have a bruised hand today, which i don't think I've ever had before  Not for not trying of course, I just didn't think they bruised. Apparently they do, along with my torso etc :?

Good roads up near you too. I remember there's one on the route from Brid to Whitby, or Whitby to "ooop norf", where there's a straight and the road appears to fall off into nowhere. I remember driving along and having to put my brakes on, in fear of what lay beyond. When I realised though it was full beans and a big grin :D

Well, less arrived than I'd hoped, however the main thing is that the emblem arrived and is mounted. So are the plates :thumleft:

I popped up to see one of the fantastic affiliates on here and collected a shiny new MK3 emblem in blue
Image

The leg positions on the MK3 differ from those on the MK2, as you'd expect. So a few minutes with a scalpel had the upper leg off and ready for repositioning.
Image

Measured up, the hole could cut trimmed in the adhesive surface
Image

A drop of super glue and some careful positioning and it's perfectly lined up.
Image

This is how it looked before
Image

New plates, new emblem and it's looking pretty sharp :thumleft: Excuse the external salt leach on the bricks to the left
Image

That's not missed polish, it's next door's aerial! haha
Image

Rear plate swapped over. Still think the exhaust needs to be a twin ;)
Image

New IC in place, new clamps. Replacing the vac hoses is next one the list
Image

All in all I'm really pleased with how much the additions at the front end have transformed the look. As we all say, it's all about the details
:thumleft:

More to come, next week when the postie comes :D

Awesome car mate! Plates and badge improve it no end!

I think that exhaust looks awesome, I'd leave it. The rear fog light, however.... 8-[

You thought about re-wiring into the rear lights? :thumleft:
