My new 99 Rev 5 beams.

Post by Chris »

Arrived to me on Thursday. :D Must say for an N/A it goes really nice. Handles great due to full Tein coilovers and top mounts. It's got some nice Advans 16" staggered too 8) Don't know which Advans they are so if you know, post it!

It's making a great everyday car while my other is in bits

Very nice ride. Straight from Japan?

The wheels are not Advans, they are SSR's Competition or Type-C outside of Japan.

Yep, been in UK a month. I was just told by the bloke who imported it they was Advans. Not clued up on wheels. They look nice though and are unmarked. Got Yoko Advan tyres on them grip well.

Needs a little tlc on the body work, couple of minor blemishes, but I'm just fussy so going to get them sorted :thumleft:

Yeah, suprisingly nippy. The engine matches the gearing perfect. Always on the button at the next gear. Great fun on roundabouts etc....Nice to be able to give it some beans and not worry bout a great turbo spooling up :thumleft:

I love it... considering doing exactly the same but realised I'm much older than you and so looking at a Lexus IS300 ... take me about a week to get the 2JZ out of it and stick a forged 2JZ-GTE in it with a 4088 for a nice friendly runabout !

Credit crunch though.. must reserve wasting money ! :-$

There was one of those new hardcore M3 eatting Lexi IS-F on the trackday yesterday. I've never seen a car so big go so fast on track, my Eunos is fast and even if I didn't lift off he'd have been able to pull past me on the straight.

http://fifthgear.five.tv/jsp/5gmain.jsp ... Lexus+IS-F

I find it hard to believe it only has 430bhp, it tanked past the Monaro without issue down the straight as well.

p.s. Love the Beams :thumleft:
