RAF Museum, Hendon day out (North West London 17th January 2009)

Hello All

Thank you for taking the time to look at this post, I am looking at doing a social meet at RAF Hendon in January09 to kick off the new year. With its location being not to far from the M25, M1 and A41 it should be fairly easy to get to for most people, even if you dont have a working car there is plenty of public transport for those who live in london to get there. The car park is large enough to accomidate us as well having great potention for pently of photos outside let along the amount of aircraft and other objects for the keen photographer happy.
Personally I find going to places like this very interesting and to combine it with an MR2 meet has the makings of a great day out. I do believe that it is free to get into the museum so after the expensive christmas and new year period it would be a welcomed realif to do something that wont cost that much to do!

I am looking for interest of people that would like to come the event and here are some more details

Would you mind if I invited some fellow petrol heads along as I know they will appreciate the outing too?

Im actually about to join the society that looks after all the aircraft and other exhibits that they have there should be good fun and as an ex RAF jet engine mechanic i will get to work on some of the aircraft and other vehicles that they have. :thumleft:

Rigth folks i have been in contact with the museum and they are open from 10am so how does a start time of 11am sound it is free to get in so wont cost to much. I could try to arrange an a small section of the pub that I work at local to the musuem for us to go back to for food and a couple of drinks after we all have had a look around the museum if you are interested

Hi Dave & the rest of you guys, so sorry we couldnt make it saturday, i was all set to come along but was taken ill early hours of saturday morning, Kateg28 was going to follow us but as she had no idea of where to go she decided it was best not to come along either, how was it guys, please let us know wheather it was a sucess & maybe we can get something like this going again in the warmer months ?, Jinx
