Hi All,

sorry for being stupid #-o , but where do u top up/fill the car up with coolant. I have looked everywhere in the engine bay  .

Do I just fill up from the Rad Cap?

If so, how will i know how much to put (where is the indicator)

You fill up here:

just fill it to the brim then replace the cap.
Also make sure you have coolant in the expansion tank (the white bottle next to the filler neck on the right)
its hard to check the level on this bottle but if you overfill it its not a problem cos it'll just blow out the overflow :thumleft:

i usually take off the tubing that goes from the fillerneck to the expansion bottle and give it a clean out as this can get bunged up just run some water through it in the sink to make sure theres no blockages :thumleft:

OK, this might sound weird, I've searched previous topics but not found an answer.

I always thought that you could only use the proper Toyota "Forlife" coolant in an MR2 engine, but recently an ex mechanic told me otherwise. Am I right or wrong?

Cheers guys
