Couple of options. Could wash the car. Service it. Put it through a shop window. Depends what result you're wanting at the end really.

take a look at the mr2 tuning bible

if you say money is not a problem make sure you buy genuine tried and tested products, unlike me who just ruined their engine because of a cheap filter!!

Change the HKS filter to an Apexi, after seeing the crap the HKS lets through

(Anyone got the link to the test from the Supra MkVI forums IIRC, that showed the ammount of crap some filters let by?)

Go for a charge cooler, electric boost controller.
Uprate pads to yellow stuff but keep std discs, dont waste money on fancy ones. Make sure your tyres are good too.
You should be around 290-300 bhp on the above mods and stop well too.
If you want more then you need an after market ecu.
After that it starts to get expensive.
Apexi Induction, Gutted Cat, Departure Exhaust, Magnecor Leads, St205 cc, Blitz ebc.
Carbotech pads.

On a rev 3?

You can push a rev 3 ct20b to ~320 fwhp with those mods, and the stock fuelling is good up to 350 fwhp. An aftermarket ECU is not essential until the fuelling with stock ECU starts to struggle, although running super rich does sap power. Best bet is to get it on the rollers and see how it performs, and up the boost accordingly.

As for reliability, anything over stock is a risk, some cars run all day with a ct20b at 1.2 bar and ~320 fwhp, others don't.
