GLOL! I somehow don't think that'll cover it. You need to save a few more pennies.

On our track car I need to:
Replace the steering rack and possible the shaft too (not sure yet).
MOT week after next (should fly through once steering is sorted).
Replace all 4 shocks, srings & fit TRD topmounts
Full Polybush
Full geo
Remove sponsorship stickers & respray

On Tango we need to
Fit newly refurbed & painted callipers
Fit new brake lines.
MOT

And if we can afford it/find the time:
Landscap the garden
New Bathroom
New Kitchen
Refurb downstairs
Refurb bedrooms & office

Can you add to the list, 'Have a drive in widster's car after January when he has it back on the road to give him a second opinion of what work he may need to do to it and how you think it drives?' Only if you have time of course! :thumleft:

Vix's clutch is dying and I'm supposed to be starting on swapping it this afternoon but it's bloody cold out there. Not sure how keen I'll be. Thankfully I can't think of much else that needs doing to hers (which probably just means there's loads that I've forgotten plus whatever the MOT tester finds)

He's doing it now!! I didn't even have to crack the whip :D

Clutch change done!
Just the small matter of putting the gearbox back in tomorrow

Phil ,

How long did it take to change the clutch ?

Total job was about 7 hours start to finish (split over 2 days), working by myself in the freezing cold (awaits PW to tell us he can do it with his eyes closed in 10 minutes ;) ). If you've not done one before then allow a bit longer as getting the gearbox back on can be a right pig.

I did look for those cambelt covers for you too, pretty sure I know where they are now, just need to move a bunch of stuff to dig them out. Was lacking motivation once I'd finished working on Vix's car though!

Mine:

Fit the new gear change ratio plate on the centre console.
Get my other half to put the new bit of brake hose in this weekend, so I can drive it again!
Use it as much as I can.
Get the new clutch installed.
Give it a good polish/wax as much as possible.

Thats it - well until MOT time, she sprung a bit of hidden corrosion on me at the last MOT which cost me £40 for some welding to be done.

She's already had since May a set of brakes, a new wing mirror as the casing was broke on the old one, had the wiper spoiler taken off as it had gone silver where all the black paint had gone, had service done and then sat in the garage for about 2 months since one of the brakes binded on.

The T-Bar - wonder if theres anyway the leaking can be reduced.
Get it running again

I sometime just wish that's all Jo would do... Unfortunately she always feels the need to get stuck right in which sometimes causes the most stupid rows

At other times though she is really good, because when I start throwing tools (literally) and the language gets so bad, I have to go in to chill, she stays back and finished the job off  8)

Track day car -

I've changed the thermostat housing but the car is still not running yet. 8-[
I've now bought a Momo steering wheel and Ferodo fast road pads, should be better then the greenstuff pads.

Road car -

The car is now back on standard suspension, but it sits too high :pale:
I've got the Toyo tyres, only need to change them over. I've also got a good car cover and a set of cambelt covers (thanks kaiowas). Next on the list is to change the clutch and gearbox. :-k
