Just an update on us, I went through my credit card company, HSBC, and got a full refund, phoned them, received a form to fill in, sent back, got monies, only taken a couple of weeks in total

Re: IMOC trip to the Le Mans 24 hour - All MR2's Invited
Right guys I've had a good look at the ferry just now. I've tried to book the same deal as Mark and Dan going on P & O and they are chargin me £85 now.
I've put in a similar route and time with SeaFrance and I've got a return crossing for £68 the details are:
Depart 9th June 2009 @06.45 ( Takes about 1hr 20 mins )
Gets into Calais @09.20
Sould be able to get down to the chateau easily for 1pm to set up camp!
Return 19th June 2009 @10.00 ( gets into Dover 11.20 )
£68 for the return crossing. Well I'm all booked up, it looks like we might all have to either just meet up somewhere on route to Le Mans or all just meet up at the chateau. As you know we were all booked onto the ill fated Speedferries vessel, looks like we might all be a little scattered about a little, well at least if we can get similar crossing times going over it shouldn't be a problem, I'm sure there will be at least 1 person in either groups that will have been to Le Mans before so don't worry about getting down.
It might be worth everyone booking your crossing ASAP as I know these 2 ferry operators get very expensive, I've paid as much as £245 to cross with SeaFrance!!
Thanks Chris for giving us a heads up on the ferry situation.
Cheers

mazdachris wrote:Bad news I'm afraid. I crashed my car at the weekend and it's going to take a bit of sorting out,so I'm not going to be in a position to come to Le Mans in '09. I realise this will come as a massive disappointment to everyone who was eager to see me, but I'm afraid there just isn't any getting round this.
Michael, can you let me know what can be done about the parking ticket
Ta
Mate, that is so unlucky! Don't worry about your ticket I'll give you a refund and sell it to another attendee. Hope you get everything sorted soon.
Roll on LM2010 then

Yep, I've had mine refunded from skycard as well - even though they said that usually the limit to qualify is £100, they said that 'you manage your account well, you are a valued customer and with the current financial market situation in mind, we have refunded the payment as a gesture of goodwill'
yay for skycard!!

1st Feb mate, I always do it then, by then I'll have a good idea of final numbers as most people by then have decided if they are coming or now.
I'll collate figures over the next few days and post the list.

Guys,
I've just had a long conversation with the nice people at Just Tickets.
I've confirmed and paid for the 9 tickets that have been booked through the LM09 website and I ordered 1 extra just in case, Pete you still need to pay for yours at some time, they are now £37.
I've booked my grandstand seats in the DUNLOP ( yellow) grandstand and he told me they only have 3 seats left! so if you want to get booked into probably one of the better grandstands then ring them up ASAP. They hav a number of seats left in the new DUNLOP one just before the bridge, I think its called PANORAMA and he has a few left in stands 11 - 17, basically to avoid dissapointment start thinking about getting booked up if you want grandstand seats. The price of the grandstand seats include general admission, so you can get all your tickets ( entry, grandstand and parking ) sorted out all in one go!
