The color is awfull.

Luckily it was painted in a shed and it will start to crack and flake off really soon probably.

I actually like that colour, there was a MK1.5 painted a very similar colour at JAE a couple of years ago and it was really nice :thumleft:

Hey Hey Hey Come On lol! I stay in Falkirk! That is a horrible colour!

I have never seen it about...thankfully!

It does sound like it has had a lot done to it. The wheels are far too big!

Of course you are entitled to your opinions but how would you feel if you owned that car and came onto an enthusiast site and read these comments?

Different strokes for different folks at the end of the day, I'm sure some people dont like my Mk1 but I'd be disapointed to read any comments about it like I have seen on this thread.
If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.

Missing the front valance and I dont mind the colour. Lime Green would be much better though.

I saw one this colour at JAE 2007, with the 2.0ltr turbo lump in it.

Im going to call the guy and go and view it because it does sound like he has done everything. I have a spare set of standard 14" alloys that I have just refurbed.

The colour is starting to grow on me......like athletes foot! lol

Just the wheels I don't like.

Anyone who paints a car a 'wacky' colour does so to get attention. If they can't accept that it may attract critiscism as well as compliment, then they should have stuck with a more mainstream colour IMO.

I like the colour TBH  , but thats just me I like to be different ,

Its the front end I dont like Im worried about road holding etc due to front end lift ,Toyota put a splitter even on the very early cars for a reason.

My post was meant to be in humour as per the 'what do they put in the water' part. I dont see any user baiting going on on the other threads regarding 'weird' colour combinations...

As people have said its all about opinion. Some people don't like red cars. Its just that this is an unusual colour so attracts more attention than the norm.

Plus I'd hope that the owner of that car is aware that its not a run of the mill colour and thus would take any comment with a pinch of salt.

I'm not sure how you'd do a complete colour change without removing ANY panels!

I like the colour + I always put my hands up to people who try go for less conventional and unique colours. It is chavy body kits and lambo doors that I can't stand from a technical perspective.
