Re: Christmas LM Party in Derby
Honestly, cant believe it. Have ever people been ill too?
I saw Celinas note on Facebook - I had to take Monday off work I was that ill!
Feel slightly better now though.
Wonder if it was the food?

Told you, it's you soft Southerners, Joanne and myself are bright as a daisy.
Got home on Sunday, had a few beers and a chinese takeaway, got up 6am on Monday and did a 9 hour shift at work, and the same today!
Could have been the food, can the people who are ill list what main course you had. Me and Jo had the chicken and we ok. Don't think it could have been the breakfast as I had loads of it, if we can trace it we might have a case to approach the hotel.
Food poisoning traditionally can take up to 48 hours to develop.

Re: Christmas LM Party in Derby
Well i had the turkey & only had toast on Sunday morning, but there is apparently a bug going round, so dont think its to do with the food, however i think ive found a clue from Dan
& i quote " Well I've picked a fine time to come down with the mother of all colds
At the moment it's touch and go whether we'll be able to make it now, really don't feel up to doing much at all at the moment and have spent the whole day in bed, but I'll see how I feel tomorrow. If I don't make tomorrow I'll still try and come up on the Saturday, but again I won't know until the day.
Fingers crossed I can knock this thing on the head and come and party with you lot! "
So Its Dans fault , Jinx

Hi all,
Cheers for the great weekend! It was an excellent way to meet a load of new faces in one swoop Hisano really enjoyed herself as did I
Neither of us have any symptoms of illness and we both had pate then beef. Although Hisano was hibernating most of the weekend, hehe! She even managed to get some sleep during the twistiest bits of the run!
We had a nice drive back... I just couldnt resist a 30 mile detour back to the motorway! Went west of Matlock then cut up and through bakewell then onto the M1 via Chesterfield.
I'll get my pictures sorted asap but I mostly took them of the cars, so no more of Steves dancing unfortunately, lol.
Cheers again and see you all soon, if not then Le Mans!
Cheers
Tom
PS: As per advice I fitted a new distributor cap, rotor arm and leads today. It seems to be running better but will take it out on the weekend for some thorough testing, hehe. Also fitted some new super bright headlight bulbs so I can see where I'm going now, which helps!

On a serious note, hadn't heard from "J" all today and thought, Oops must have been bad yesterday , but turns out he is not very well!! Chucking his guts up apparently, so did the sympathy via text, then when I got home went on Facebook, and low and behold Celina not well "has a tummy bug", so thought I'd better warn you or put the word out, anyone else ill???
Hope to see you all again soon
Love to all and MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR to one and all
Just to let you all know i had a terrible gut too, being sick and diarhea( if only i could spell it)
Something must have been wrong, stomach just getting back to normal

If it's of any use, I had Melon, Beef and Chocolate Tart, and I'm fine (and all the breakfast I could lay my hands on). Sorry to hear about the rest of you

Re: Christmas LM Party in Derby
I have never had spasms like it in my stomach before, maybe it was to do with amount of booze, i can't even remember what i ate.
Might have even been the Friday night meal! but there again we didn't all have the same.
Whatever it was or is i have not experienced my guts being so bad

Re: Christmas LM Party in Derby
Thats 4 or 5 that have come back with an illness then? I felt awful on Saturday night.
I am just about back to normal today. Should be back to 100% tomorrow.
Steve - are you sure it was a gut problem and not your liver failing?! LOL!!!!

Good way to cheer me up Wayne but as there are so many with stomach probems, could well be something we ate

Better late than never, but yep it was a top weekend so congrats to those involved in organising! Didn't have any illness problems either, so I reckon it was either all the beer or Dan's cold!!
Sorry to hear about your car John - I had an interesting moment coming back myself following Mark & Dan onto the A1M with a bit of 2nd gear wheelspin when pulling away from some lights

Yeah, the repair shop came and collected the car on Friday and left me with a Fiesta. I'll find out whether it's going to be repaired or not middle of next week.

Re: Christmas LM Party in Derby
Well, looks like it's going to be written off. The garage say they would write it off, but the insurance company have insisted on having an independent assessor look at the car. I will know for sure by tomorrow lunchtime.
Time to prepare for payout negotiations...
