Standard NGK's should be more than good enough, I changed mine when I first got my car as it had some old champion plugs in. It made a big difference in the running of the car. I only paid about £7-8 for 4 NGK's from a local motor factor. Code number (3720 - BCPR6EY-11)

The main thing the Iridium ones give you is a longer life but if you're servicing your car regularly then you dont need the extra time factor.

Not sure how much they'd help on a tuned engine but on stock I'd save yourself £20 to be honest, unless anyone says anything to the contrary?

Cheers
Tom

these are really only an advantage on higher powered forced induction cars. they are longer life but i like to know my plugs are good not just assume they are ok.

iirc i run ngk bcpr6es plugs, there ment to give a slight performance boost and are about £2 each or less. all these fandango plugs are useless they just last longer even on my turbo cars you get no gain and it costs more to play around with the heat ranges compared to plugs that are less than a quarter of the price!

BCPR6ES

The same plugs fitted to old Minis - just with the smaller hex.

So there's a part changeover between my old and new engine!!!
